Online Casino News: Ohio Residents Looking for Casinos
by Joanne R Monday September 28, 2009  at 11:20 PM

There are people out there who wish to limit others; this is a fact of life. If they do not enjoy or partake in something, they want to ensure that others cannot enjoy or partake of it either. We see this time and time again no matter what the subject matter. There are people who smoke cigarettes, people who drink, and people who gamble; and then there are people who don't. Usually those people who don't try to limit those people who do from having a good time at whatever their chosen hobby might be. However, those people obviously don't live in Ohio.

Ohio residents have made it very clear that they do not like the idea of slot machines in their state. They overwhelmingly say that they do not gamble, and do not understand those that do. However they also say that they would support bringing in casinos into their state. A new poll by the University of Cincinnati says that 70% of Ohioans support allowing casinos to coming to the state, although 83% of the state says that they wouldn't visit casinos whether they were legal or not.

It would seem that those who live in Ohio are truly supporting the idea of individual freedom. Supporters of bringing in the casinos say that this is the “cornerstone of US democracy” and we would all be better suited if we follow their lead.

Those that are opposed to bringing in the slot machines and the casinos say that they are shocked by the numbers. They were sure that they would have more residents on their side willing to vote the casinos out. It would seem that they are mistaken.
