Online Casino News:
Is This the Future?

It seems that Harrah's Entertainment is
constantly in the news these days. With
their recent purchase of a racetrack in
Delaware, and talks of creating an
online casino brand, the company is
continuing to grow. Now they have
announced that they have entered into an
arrangement with the online casino
888.com, which was a surprise for many
in the industry.
Experts say that the way that the
arrangement is worded between the casino
and online casino companies might
foretell the way that the new online
casino gambling market might work once
restrictions are lifted. By using the
online casino software from the 888
subsidiary Dragonfish, Harris has just
cut their costs in having to develop
their own online casino software brand.
They say that this could be the
beginning of a trend, and that
eventually we will see maybe a few big
contenders for the best offerings in
online software – with everyone else
leasing their software from them.
Speaking from a cost effective point of
view, depending on the company – it
could end up being much less money for
them to simply lease the online casino
software from one of those companies
that has already created a tried and
true format for it.
With many companies already creating
online casino branches of their existing
offerings, it only makes sense that they
would be looking to do the easiest and
cheapest way of making the move into the
industry. That is why we seen the online
casino software makes perfect sense.
Experts think that we are going to start
to see a lot more land-based casinos
following Harrah's lead and simply
leasing instead of creating.
