Online Casino News:
Estonia Ready for Online Casinos

There are many countries out there that
are legalizing online casinos because
they understand the amount of revenue
that can come from such a source. For
all of those countries that have made it
illegal or are considering making it
illegal, there are many more looking to
bring in the industry and embrace it.
Estonia is simply the latest to bring in
online casino gambling to their country.
The European country has promised that
by January 1, 2010 they will be offering
legalized online casino gambling.
Estonians will be able to play a variety
of online casino games such as
blackjack, roulette, craps, keno, slot
machines, and video poker, all for both
real money and on a free account.
The Estonia Gambling Act will recognize
those online casino operators that have
licenses within the European Union. But
those online casinos that are operating
from offshore locations will not be
allowed to accept Estonian players.
Those online casinos will have to apply
for a license and then must be approved
in order to accept their citizens. They
will have to go through a stringent
background check, and they must be
properly incorporated and well funded in
order to even be considered.
Those online casinos that are currently
operating illegally within the country
will be blocked. For operators that are
looking to come into Estonia may find
that they have to pay a large fee in
order to operate within the country.
However, online casino supporters say
that Estonia even allowing the
possibility for international sites to
operate within their borders is a huge
deal and a big step for the country.
