Cricket and Poker Together Again

It seems that Shane Warne, a former professional cricket player, will be taking on a different sport this time around. Warne will be functioning as Captain of the 888 poker team, a rather far jump for the gentleman.

He will be representing the online casino at the World Series of Poker Europe in London. He is hoping to do as well at poker this time around as he did last time, if not better. The online casino spokesman said that he had finished in the top 150 players – out of a field of more than 7000.

He says that as poker ambassador he is hoping he can play as well as he did in Vegas. His first participation in the tournament will be on the 27th of September, at the Empire Casino in Leicester Square, London. He is taking on the £10,000 Main Event which commences at 1 pm.
