Strong increases in wagers and revenue for Paddy Power

Paddy Power makes online casino and gambling news again with a 53% increase in the first half of 2007 with it's profits reaching €14.8 million. Paddy Power's online sportsbook reported and increase of total wagering of 19%, this equals €279 million and an average bet per player of €28.36, an increase of bets of 3%. The division of the company representing online casino betting, poker, sportsbetting, bingo and skill games reports net revenue increases of 42% equaling €18.4 million.

Paddy Power's online presence is impressive and continues to grow. The company also offers sites in German and Spanish and are adding more online gaming products to it's lineup. Patrick Kennedy, CEO of Paddy Power is quoted as saying, "Strong trading has continued into the second half of the year, and we look forward to the remainder of 2007 and beyond with confidence."
