Online Casinos vie for
American players still
When the Senate passed the port
law, in a move to stem anti
terrorism and the threats
thereof, it included in this law
a ban on moving money to and
from online casinos or other
online gambling establishments.
The U.S. has been one of the
largest geographical targets for
online casino gambling with
hundreds of thousands of players
gambling in online casinos,
poker rooms and sportsbetting
facilities for years. After this
law passed, many casino software
providers pulled out of the U.S.
market to avoid any disputes
with this law. But, this has not
stemmed the demand of the
American public to gamble
online.
To satisfy player demand, many
online casinos still accept
American players and have
offered new payment mechanisms
to accommodate these players. By
changing the methods that they
accepted payments from certain
targeted players, these casinos
have remained a gambling mecca
for many.
Some online casino and gaming
sites have just changed the
names of the financial
transaction handlers, some have
changed geographical locations
and some have just changed the
payment options available. The
casinos constant competition
with each other and players
desires to gamble will be big
business for years to come.
