Online Gambling Ban talks stalled

Hopes are high for the overturning of the US ban on online gambling in Britain. Discussions between the US and Brussels concerning compensation are stalled at this time. This could just speed up a possible end to the ban.

Compensation is being sought for losses incurred by European companies who were cut off from their marketing efforts in the US. The US administration enacted this ban on what many believe to be moral issues arising out of fear of citizens abusing gambling, gambling addiction and possible minor gambling issues.


Many online gambling companies such as PartyGaming have suffered major losses because of this ban, many employees in the online gambling industry have lost their jobs and companies have closed their operations citing losses too great to bounce back from.
