Joining Forces Benefits Both

By joining forces, Chartwell and ExtraBet have created the first UK licensed online casino. The gaming software provider and the subsidiary of IG Group Holdings PLC have brought the first Gambling Commission licensed casino to the island.

But before they could move forward, there were some hoops to jump through. Chartwell's online casino software systems had to go through a certification process by the UK regulatory authority - before they could proceed. They also reviewed their corporate and software certifications to ensure that they were as secure as possible. This allowed them to receive certification from the Gambling Commission.

The online casino marks milestones for both companies. Neither has come into this kind of deal or territory before, which allows them to bring their technology to the next level according to Chartwell's President and CEO - Darold H. Parken. Parken went on to say that it was not only a milestone for the online casinos, but for the regulation "as a whole."

For their part ExtraBet is thrilled to be adding Chartwell to their portfolio. They say that this is simply one more step for them to bringing their goal of giving their customers everything they want on one online casino site. The group has revenues in excess of $200 million and they expect it to grow from there.
