The economy is not affecting the online casino industry according to recent numbers – as a matter of fact it is helping it grow. More people are going to online casino sites instead of land based casinos as they are saving on gas and hotel stays, and all of the other expenses that come with going on a trip.

Even those that live within a day trip of many casinos are opting instead to use the online casinos instead. They say that the money they save in gas alone is worth it. The land based casinos are worried about this trend as across the nation their numbers are dropping while the online casino numbers are growing.

It seems that a terrible economy had to be good for some industry, and the online casino market is the one to benefit. They have been trying to find a way to entice players from the casinos to the online casinos instead, and the economy is the perfect foil.

With people not able to go out the ways they used to, land based casinos have seen a drastic drop in their numbers for gambling, but also for nightlife and other venues that are within the casinos. People aren’t eating out either, which causes another dip.

Online casinos don’t have to worry about any of that. They offer a service – gambling – and people come. They don’t have to leave their houses, turn on their cars, or drive anywhere. Instead, they can pull on their pajamas and have themselves a grand time in their living rooms.
