Casino Gets Approval
The Grand Biloxi Hotel is now
open for business. They have
received regulatory approvals
and have been able to open their
doors. They weren’t sure with
Hurricane Gustav on the horizon
if everything would go as
planned, but the scare turned
out to be unfounded.
Visitors to the Biloxi,
Mississippi area will be
thrilled as it now gives them
even more choices as to where to
go to play. The Grand Bear Gold
Course will be open by Friday
and the food, retail stores, and
hotel have all already opened.
The casino ended up only losing
two days, which is a big help to
the financial aspects of the
reopening. The Gulf Course has
had to deal with a lot of
casinos opening and after
Hurricane Katrina many were
wiped out completely. This
opening of the casino gives hope
to residents and breathes new
life into the area.
They are aware that had Gustav
come through, they could have
been looking at many other
casinos going out of business
completely as it just would not
have been cost effective for
them to try and rebuild. Many
casinos are breathing a sigh of
relief knowing that they are
able to dodge this bullet this
time.
