888.com Assists Global Charity

The popular online casino 888.com is giving back in it's efforts towards charity. They are offering players a chance to make donations to two charities when they visit their online casino, poker or bingo sites.

Nearing it's 10th year in operation, 888.com has plans to donate $100,000 to charity and encourage players to give a percentage of the money they would normally use for online gambling. This global charity effort is a first for any online casino and hopefully the gesture will encourage other casinos and gambling sites to do the same. Employees will be part of special activities that will help to raise awareness of the charities that will be benefiting.

The two charities are Earth Action and World for World, these are environmental conservation and human rights organizations that are in need of monetary support, large or small. Players who choose to donate can even split their donations between these charities.

The date of October 10, 2007 has been set aside for this event and players who wish to participate need only play on these days and a portion of the money taken in will be donated.
