Online Casino News:
More Seizures for Online Casino
Customers
by Joanne R Saturday November 7, 2009 at

Online casino gambling sires are finding
themselves in a bit of a pickle as they
are unable to pay their clients. With
the recent seizures by the Federal
Government, the bank accounts that they
would normally have paid out from are no
longer able to do so. This leaves them
unable to pay, and their clients without
their money. They are worried that it
will ruin their reputations, and as many
well know, in the online casino
industry, pay out reputation is
everything.
No one wants to play at an online casino
that won’t pay their clients. The
federal government, however does not
seem to be overly worried about their
reputations. They maintain that online
casino gambling is illegal and that they
are seizing the funds in order to
protect the players against themselves.
Of course, no one is buying this
rationale except for the federal
government.
Two more online casino bank accounts
have been seized according to the
Baltimore City Paper. More than $365,000
was taken from two accounts that were
owned by Atrium Financial Group. The
latest seizure however was different in
that this warrant was open to the
public. It states that police have been
inundating online casinos in an attempt
to get accounts with them, then gaining
access to the online casino gambling
sites.
One online casino, Golden Casino,
repeatedly turned down attempts by
police to sign new accounts with them as
they are a reputable company that
respects the local law. It is against
the law in Louisiana to participate in
online casino gambling, so they
repeatedly rejected their applications.
One got through, the police discovered
it was Atrium, seized the account and
stopped all debits from going out.
However, if they were really worried
about their citizens – why did they
continue to allow payments to come in?
