Online Casino News:
What is Better: Las Vegas or
Online Casino Gambling?
by Joanne R Sunday November 8, 2009 at

The battle for your gambling dollar
wages on between Las Vegas and all of
the land based casinos and the online
casino gambling industry. Both know that
there is a limited amount of gambling
dollars out there and they are trying to
convince you to choose them over the
other. Unfortunately for Las Vegas and
their neighbors, the online gambling
community is winning the battle so far.
Many within the online casino gambling
community feel that they have already
won the war, for a poor economy is one
of the best ways for them to take a
foothold within the gambling industry.
Gamblers quickly realized that instead
of spending their hard-earned money on a
plane fares, hotel rooms, and rental
cars, they could be spending it at an
online casino in their own living room.
This is not to say that those people who
are really only gambling so that they
can take a trip somewhere won't stop
taking those trips; instead, we are
seeing those people who aren't
necessarily going for the shows and the
experience heading to their own computer
instead. The online casino industry has
easily stepped ahead of the land based
community at this point because it costs
so much less for players to play at
home.
Those players who have discovered that
they are on a significantly smaller
budget these days are turning to the
online casino industry further gambling
fix. Not only do they not have to worry
about all of the expenses that come with
traveling, including gas if they are
close enough to drive, but they have
also found that the online casino
industry is willing to offer them a much
more in the way of bonuses because they
can. The online casino industry has a
much lower overhead than the land-based
one does, so they are able to offer
higher payouts as well as larger
bonuses. If the land-based casino
industry hopes to play catch up, they
are going to have to change the way they
do business.
