Online Casinos Waiting for Democrats

Now that the Democrats have taken hold of the House, the Senate and the White House, those that run and frequent online casinos are wondering when they will start seeing the fruits of their labors. They say that they campaigned hard to get Democrats in office, and they ware wondering when they will be paid back.

The implication by many Democrats is that once they were in office they would be legalizing the online casino and gambling industry, which is why many of them threw their support behind them. They feel that they have been promised something, and they want to know when the change in legislation will be implemented.

Representative Barney Frank has been assuring the online casino community for a while now that once a “more amenable Congress was sat” that illegal online casinos and gambling would be a thing of the past. With many from the old regime already looking to possibly legalize online casinos and gambling, it is safe to say that those that are now coming in will find an easier time of it.

One of their biggest hurdles was Spencer Bachus, who managed to stall the process last time – but will assuredly find himself in the minority this time. Bachus is joined my a majority holding Democrat Congress now, so his voice will be in the minority, or so they have been led to believe.

Many of those that were pro online casino and gambling last time around have been re-elected, which will help the fight. Being joined by others that are like minded doesn’t hurt either.
