May 26, 2009 Online Casino News:
White House Poll Shows What’s
Important
A completely unscientific poll at the
new change.gov website that President
Obama’s group created for him shows that
Americans want the ability to play at
online casinos if they want to. They
want online casino gambling to be
legalized, and they came out in droves
to let that be known.
When Obama was running for office, he
said that he was going to keep the lines
of communication open so that people
could vote for, or comment on the
various things that were going on in the
White House – and really have a say in
our governmental processes. Well, with
Change.gov he has managed to stay true
to that campaign pledge. He had a poll
on there that asked people to vote on
what was important, and according to
Americans – playing at the online
casinos is important. Not only that, but
they want to be able to smoke pot
legally as well.
They want to see the Unlawful Internet
Gambling Enforcement Act or UIGEA
overturned, and they want less control
over their actions. They want the
government to get their hands off a lot
of what they are involved in now, and
have been very clear about that request.
They are also interested in things like
health care, but with more than 125,000
participating in the questionnaire –
legalizing marijuana was the number one
concern.
Making online casino gambling legal was
the number one technological concern for
participants. The Citizen’s Briefing
Book is simply a continuation of the
setup that Obama used during his run for
the presidency and they say that they
will continue to ask residents for their
input during his term in office.
