Poker Stars has Big Winner
Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier has taken
the top spot at the Poker Stars
Caribbean Adventure $25K High Roller
event and has taken the top prize of
$433,500 for his troubles. This puts him
square at the top of the EPT Tournament
Leader Board. Grospellier has now
amassed more than $2 million in winnings
on the tournament circuit.
The online casino group says that this
player has quickly risen to the top of
his field and that he is now considered
one of the best poker players in the
world. The online casino says that their
Pro won last year’s PCA for $2 million,
the WPT Festa al Lago in October for
$1.4 million, and finished second in the
online casino’s own WCOOP heads up
championship for $320,000.
Grospellier has also solidified himself
as a lead at the top of the French all
time money list per the online casino.
They say that he has now earned more
money than other big names like Anthony
Lellouche and David Benyamine.
Grospellier says that the make it or
break it moment was easy to see, it was
when he doubled up against fellow online
casino pros Humberto Brenes with a set
of 10’s – Brenes had a set of 4’s.
The online casino said that last year’s
event was bigger than this year’s but
for the economy being as bad as it is it
actually was great to see everyone turn
up for the event. They said that it was
a lot of fun and Grospellier said that
it “will be a great memory” for him.
