May 26, 2009 Online Casino News:
Splitting Online Casinos
Intertops has decided to re-enter the US
marketplace, and thought that they had
found a way to do that. They split their
online casino brand into two groups, Red
Casino and Green Casino. They offered
the Red Casino to their US customers and
powered it with Real Time Gaming, and
they offered their Green Casino to
everyone but US customers and powered it
with Microgaming.
However, Microgaming didn’t like that
idea, and felt that if Intertops was
going to be a part of the online casino
community that still offered gambling to
US customers then they would have to go.
This is exactly what happened, and
Microgaming announced that they would
not be offering their services to the
online casino any longer.
However, Intertops understands the move
by Microgaming, but they are still
determined to offer their online casino
gaming to US customers. They have set it
up so that their Green players can go to
the Red casino to play, but that the Red
online casino players cannot go to the
Green site to play there. They will get
the same promotions and offers as the
other online casino site, but they are
keeping both sets separate from each
other.
Kentucky residents can not access either
online casino right now because of the
recent moves by their governor, but once
that is overturned, they will be able to
access the Red Casino as well. Once the
UIGEA is overturned, all US customers
will be able to access both the red and
the green.
