Online Casino Gambling
Continues to Grow
Just as the US government tries
its hardest to get people to
stop frequenting online casinos,
there are others trying to get
it regulated so that these
people can play all they want.
Politicians such as Rep. Barney
Frank are trying to get the
online casino industry
regulated, which would bring in
billions of dollars for the US.
Now the American Gaming
Association has released new
figures that simply strengthen
their argument. Their latest
findings show that early 25% of
Americans have visited an online
casino in 2007. They also found
that those gamblers lost an
estimated $34.1 billion – which
is 75% more than it was ten
years ago.
As more and more states add in
casinos and gambling, it is no
wonder that some in the
government are now questioning
the idea that online casinos and
gambling should be illegal. Some
states like Nevada and
California are looking into
options for making online
gambling legal in their state
only.
In Washington they keep trying
harder to keep people from the
online casinos, but it is really
only a matter of time before the
tide turns. Many think that it
won’t happen until President
Bush is out of office, and if
that is the case then we will be
looking at least another year of
restrictions.
