March 13, 2009 Online Casino News:
CAP Loses Sponsor
The online casino group Gambling 911 has
announced that they have received word
that there is another online casino
company that will no longer be a sponsor
for the Casino Affiliate Programs group,
otherwise known as CAP. They said that
the group was upset with CAP for
scheduling their Amsterdam event when
they did.
There has been a lot of hoopla
surrounding the CAP group, with many
online casinos taking sides in the
battle. It has been reported that
Gambling 911 themselves has taken the
side against CAP, although there has not
been confirmation from the group on
this.
Some say that they are mad at the
group’s co-organizer Warren Jolly’s
admission that they ran an online poker
room that was part of the problem that
affiliates were having. Others say that
it is the alleged stories behind the
scenes that were more concerning to
them.
However, according to one online casino
expert – it is all just a bunch of
hoopla. It seems that perhaps one online
casino had a concern and it blew up from
there, with the internet ripe with false
hoods and innuendos that couldn’t be
further from the truth. Some say it is
because the CAP group was so successful
in helping the affiliates that a smear
campaign has been waged against them,
and as one said “it is impossible to
fight a lie” and therefore the online
casino affiliate group is becoming the
fall guy.
We will probably never know what really
happened between the groups, but as one
expert says unless you have first hand
knowledge of the situation, and have
seen any wrong doing for yourself on
either side, it is best to keep out of
it.
