March 30, 2009 Online Casino News: Bigger is Not Always Better

Many online casino players look for the one that has the big jackpots that are sure to pay out soon because they have been building for so long. There are advertisements all over the place from the online casino promising that this is the largest it has ever been and that it is going to pay out – it might as well be you! But what about the other online casinos – the ones that seem to have much smaller jackpots? Doesn’t anyone play at them?

Actually, if you ask many of an online casino player, they will tell you that they prefer the smaller jackpots because they pay out more often than those that are larger. They say that it is terrific that they are able to pay out such a large chunk of change to one player – and they are sure that the player that wins it is happy – but they prefer going to a smaller payout online casino.

They argue that with the smaller jackpots, the online casino is actually paying out more often – which makes it much better for everyone involved. Let’s say you play at online casino number one – and they pay out $2 million to one lucky player – sounds great right? But what if instead, you play at online casino number two who only pays out $250,000 but pays eight people? They are both paying out two million dollars, but one increases your chances exponentially of winning – whereas the other one gives you much less of a shot at it.

You have to decide if you are going to be happy with a chance at one big win, or eight chances at a smaller win – and that will decide for you which online casino you want to play at. Personally, we think that eight is better than one – and that any kind of a win is worth getting!
