Deposits at Online Casinos Not So Fast

It used to be you went to an online casino and made a deposit and played your game. That was it – no rocket science – no fooling around. Now with the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, the whole depositing money into your online casino thing has become more fiasco than anything else.

For all US customers, the payment processing that went on before the UIGEA has drastically changed as banks are now hesitant to process anything that looks like it might be from an online casino for fear of retribution from the US government. Getting money to an online casino, or getting winnings from, has become a headache beyond words.

If you are using a Visa or MasterCard you are going to find it is almost impossible to charge money to it from an online casino. The transaction will almost always come back as unsuccessful as their banks will not process the payment. There are still some payment processing centers, such as eWalletXpress or wire transfer – but these take time to work – as long as five days for new players.

Some online casinos still have the option of using places like Click2Pay, even though many times the processor they are recommending is no longer taking US customers. But there is some hope for online casino lovers. There are very few of them out there, but some online casinos are actually still taking US customers and processing their payments swiftly and painlessly. Bodog Casino is one of them – they will process your payment immediately.
