Online Casino News:
Belgium Still Restricting Online
Casino Gambling

It would appear that Belgium is bound
and determined to do whatever they want
when it comes to online casino gambling.
The European Commission has made it very
clear that they are not fooling around
when it comes to online casino gambling
and that they expect the country to
allow it to occur across their borders.
However, Belgium seems to have other
ideas for what they are going to allow.
The EC has told them that their online
casino gambling rules to not conform to
the requirements that have been set
forth, but they are still moving forward
with their plans to keep online casino
gambling within their borders – and to
keep everyone else at an arm’s distance.
They don’t want other countries coming
across and offering their online casino
gambling services as they say that it is
not safe for their citizens. However,
everyone is aware that they are actually
trying to keep their online casino
gambling monopoly intact.
The online casino gambling regulations
that Belgium has set forth say that
anyone who wants to offer their services
in the country must have a physical
presence in Belgium. The EC says that
other territories should have access,
but they obviously disagree. Belgium
also insists that all online casino
gambling operators have a license within
their country, but they only give these
out to a few companies. This makes it
impossible for anyone who really wanted
to offer their services to do so. Even
if they moved to the country they might
still be denied access to residents.
The EU insists that they are all one
single market and that if an online
casino gambling company is licensed in
one of the other territories then they
are licensed in Belgium. However, as
none of them have gotten access yet it
would appear that Belgium is winning.
