Las Vegas
Online?
Is it possible that the king of
gambling, Las Vegas, could be
looking at possibly moving to
the world of online casino
gambling? It seems like the
answer is yes. With the
recession hitting the land based
casino industry much worse than
the online casino industry,
there is talk that perhaps the
land based casinos might want to
start thinking about going the
route of the online casino
instead.
When you walk down the Strip in
Las Vegas it is apparent that
the busy streets are just not as
busy as they used to be. More
people are turning to the online
casinos for their gambling
instead, as they know that it
does not cost them as much, and
instead of spending money on
travel they can spend it on
gambling. They also know that
the online casinos have a much
lower overhead than the land
based ones and so they not only
pay out larger amounts, they
also pay out more often.
In what seems like a total
contradiction in what they have
been saying all of this time,
they are now looking to embrace
the online casino industry. They
think that if they can get their
land based casinos online, then
they can start making more
money. However, they cannot do
that until the UIGEA is
overturned, for they do not want
to face prosecution from the US
Department of Justice.
With many online casinos having
left the market because of the
lack of regulation and the
prosecution that they could be
facing, the land based casinos
say that this could be the
perfect time to strike. Get the
online casino industry regulated
and then load up their land
based casinos online. This would
give them a name that they
recognize to play at, and would
allow them to full a gap in both
online casino offerings and much
needed revenue.
