UltimateBet Getting Settlement
The cheating scandal that has plagued
UltimateBet this year seems to be
finally coming to an end. Tokwiro
Enterprises has reached an agreement
with the company that used to own the
online casino company, making the
scandal seem like it is close to gaining
closure for all of their players as
well.
When news broke of the Ultimate Bet and
Absolute Poker cheating scandals, many
clients demanded their money back and
many left the online casino sites for
good. The owner, a new owner, was left
with a mess to clean up, a reputation to
fix, and clients to make happy – which
meant paying out a lot of money. The
original owner, Excapsa Software agreed
to the terms of the settlement and now
it seems as though the online casino can
move forward.
The previous owner of the online casino
had a pretty big role in the cheating
scandal as it was their employees who
hacked into the security system,
allowing them to cheat the other online
casino players. Excapsa agreed to pay
Tokwiro $15 million from the settlement,
which will allow them to pay back all of
their online casino players who had been
cheated.
According to UltimateBet.com the
settlement money "will be used
immediately to refund players who were
affected by the cheating scandal that
Tokwiro inherited when it purchased the
business from Excapsa." The company had
purchased the online casino from Excapsa
just two years ago. They say that they
are pleased with the settlement and they
feel that this is a just end to the
situation. They feel like they can move
forward now that they have been able to
pay everyone back who lost money due to
the situation.
