Obama Brings Hope to Online Casino
Industry
With the swearing in of our 44th
President, you could hear the sigh of
relief that came from the online casino
industry. They feel that with President
Obama in office they have a real chance
at seeing the Unlawful Internet Gambling
Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, overturned,
which means freedom of gambling for all.
Obama has made it very clear that his
first duty as president is to get the
country back on track and to fix the
economy. This makes the online casino
community happy because they are sure
that he is going to turn to them to make
that happen. They think he is going to
want to get his hands on the proposed
billions that are going to come in from
legal online casinos and put it to work
for the government.
Many representatives are chomping at the
bit to see online casino gambling
legalized, and they know that there
really is a huge potential for revenue
to come in from these sources. With
Obama in office, some, like Rep. Barney
Frank, will make it their sole purpose
to get the UIGEA overturned and have
online casino gambling legal again in
the US.
Obama has already said that he wants to
keep the Internet free from government
interference, and would stop laws that
would take away that freedom. Part of
the reason many in the online casino
industry voted for Obama was because of
the promise of legalizing the industry
again. People in Washington say that
there is a humming that is going on in
the city, and you can expect that much
of that is coming from the online casino
industry.
