Grand Prive Trying to Pull a Fast One
The Grand Prive network of online
casinos stayed in the US long after the
passing of the Unlawful Internet
Gambling Enforcement Act, prompting
surprise and excitement from many US
players. However, as they are a
Microgaming online casino, they all knew
that there would come a time when they
would leave and with the announcement
from Microgaming, they knew that time
was here.
However, when they finally announced
their intentions, it was not the US
players who were upset, rather it was
their affiliates. The online casino said
that they would be staying in the US
market, but that they would be severing
all ties with their affiliates. This
means that the players that the
affiliates brought to them could
continue to play there, but the
affiliates would not get any of the
money promised them for providing them
to the online casino.
The online casino’s affiliates were
outraged, rightfully so, for they had
brought in the clients with the promise
that they would be paid for them – after
all that is how they make their money.
This outrage led them to bring in the
big guns, the Casino Affiliate Programs
(CAP) community, who went after them
with all of their power and might. The
affiliates wanted their money and asked
CAP to step in.
CAP then entered into talks with the
online casino and it seems that some
progress is being made. The online
casino asked that CAP be the only one
allowed to contact them regarding the
matter and now all affiliates need to
contact CAP with questions and concerns
regarding the issue.
