Online Casino News:
MasterCard Blocking Online Casino Payments

With the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or UIGEA, all payment processing to and from online casinos was made illegal. Not only that, but all of the banks and financial institutions were tasked with keeping out online casino payments as they were illegal and it was now their responsibility. A responsibility it bears noting that they were not prepared to take on, and one that they did not want.
But MasterCard has now stepped forward and has announced that they have a way of blocking those online casino payments now. They had come up with a coding system that will identify the locations of their users and the services that they are using, which worked for a little while. But then the online casinos got smart and started using un-coded transactions and they passed through their system again.
But their new system is working for now. Just in time for the Super Bowl, the credit card company has implemented a block against all online casino payment processing to US customers. The credit card company has designed a system that is currently working to block all payments to and from the credit cards to any country that does not allow online gambling – obviously including the US.
But online casino gamblers need not fear for there are other ways of making deposits to your online casino account. There are several eWallets that are available, and there are also pre-paid cards that can be used to fund the online casino account through a third party.
