February 8, 2009 Online Casino News: Club World Casinos Warns Patrons

Club World Casino made the announcement that their patrons may be subjected to Phishing emails and wanted them to be careful. The online casino said that it had come to their attention that the emails were floating around out there and that there could be serious consequences for anyone who responded to them.

The online casino said that the emails looked like it came from them but they didn’t. The emails say that there has been the creation of a new online casino and they wanted people to sign up at it using their current Club World Casino login and password. It looks like a simple online casino sign up type email, but it is a scam.

They are simply trying to get players to give them their personal information so that they can rip them off and steal both their identities and their online information. The email is actually coming from a mail.com account, not the online casino. The invitation looks as though it comes from King Dice Casino – which is supposed to be the new online casino.

Players click on the link in the email and then are directed toward the online casino site where it asks them for credit card numbers, home addresses, etc. The email comes from a Susan Harrison. The purpose of the email is to not only gain your personal information, but the online casino says that they are afraid of it also activating malware or spyware when it is clicked on. They simply want their players to be aware.
