February 10, 2009 Online Casino News:
Nothing Lost, Just a Little
Fun
It started just as a bit of fun and grew
from there – when online casinos started
offering bets on Bruce Springsteen’s
Half Time Super Bowl appearance. The
online casinos were offering all kinds
of things, anything from the songs that
the Boss would sing to the chances of a
wardrobe malfunction.
The online casino industry was offering
bets on what songs he would sing, with
offerings like “Glory Days,” “Born to
Run,” or “Born in the USA,” among tons
of others. With an extensive music
library like Springsteen has there was
enough to choose from, and although some
of his lesser known or popular ones may
not have made most online casino boards,
the big ones most certainly did.
There has been so much talk about what
songs he would sing, it became very
entertaining for people to try and
figure it out. However, it all came to a
screeching halt when Rolling Stone
released the songs that he was planning
on playing. The online casinos had to
pull the bets on his music and then many
came up with other, sillier, things for
them to bet on.
Everything from what the chances were of
him having some sort of wardrobe
malfunction, to his wife having one,
even to his guitarist and Soprano’s
actor Steven Van Zandt having one. They
were betting on whether or not Courtney
Cox might make an appearance during
Dancing in the Dark – it was offered by
the online casinos at ten to one – not
bad odds.
