February 15, 2009 Online Casino News:
Some
Legal Online Casino Gambling
So the government passed the Unlawful
Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or
UIGEA, and everyone said that this was
the end of online casino gambling as we
knew it. Online casinos left the US
market, and we were left with very few
choices to play at. Those that were left
were often unreliable, or we lived in
fear that they – and us – would be
caught playing at them and get
prosecuted.
However, what if there was a better way
to participate in online casino
gambling? What if an online casino found
a way around the UIGEA and was able to
offer legal online gambling? Would you
try it? Of course you would!
Well this is exactly what CentSports.com
has done for us. They have taken sports
gambling to a new level which is pretty
hard considering the subject. There are
many types of online casino gambling,
and there are arguments all day long
that say what types should be legal and
which shouldn’t. However, sports
gambling is pretty much considered
illegal by everyone you ask.
The idea is that the online casino is
paying you to play. Let’s say you want
to gamble so you go to their site and
open an account. They put $0.10 in your
account so that you can play any
sporting event on the site. Once you win
enough to hit the $20 mark, you can take
out your money and you will get a check
from the online casino. The players
don’t put any money in, but the site
makes their money off of the advertising
– and passes it on to the players.
Since no one is depositing money, it
makes it pretty safe, and pretty legal.
