Online Casino News: Online Casino Loses License

The United Kingdom recently reported an increase in crime associated with online casino gambling. This stems from arrests that were made in conjunction with the online casino site Paradise Bet in which several members of the Parisi Clan were arrested for allegedly having ties to online casino gambling. The online casino lost their license as the UK was determined not to have any gambling associations with online casinos.
The problem is that there are probably other online casinos out there that might have ties to illegal companies or businesses, and how are they to know which ones are legit and which ones aren’t. Those that are opposed to online casino gambling are using the reports as fodder as they say that this is a perfect example that online casino gambling leads to crime and corruption.
This viewpoint is further solidified by the mention that this particular online gambling site had ties to political and governmental officials – as well as police officers. With this many people involved and allowing the corruption to continue – it is simply more fuel for the fire. They could take this report and the fact that even the head of the Parisi Clan was arrested in conjunction with the online casino gambling site to show that there are all levels of corruption and that this is why it should be illegal.
However, those that support making online casinos legal say that you cannot judge an entire industry by one problem. That would be like saying that you can’t trust any corporation in the world because of Enron. They argue that online casino gambling is safe and legal if it is regulated and monitored – as it should be with any industry.
