Online Casino News: Indiana Casino Wants Ban on Player
by Joanne R Thursday, December 10, 2009

It is interesting the article in the
paper today about how an Indiana casino
wants to ban a player from their casino
because he was counting cards. Now, when
a card counter is found to be working
his magic in a casino quite often they
simply show him to the door. Although it
is not a written law, those that play at
the casinos are fully aware that card
counting is illegal.
However, Thomas Donovan is fighting the
ejection. Donovan says that although his
abilities as a card counter are amazing
– he does not feel that this is an
illegal move. He says that card counting
is so easy that anyone can do it. This
is why he says that he is not breaking
the law.
As of now the casino association within
the state has backed the Grand Victoria
and therefore he is still banned from
coming back into the casino. The casino
says that blackjack is already such a
profitable game that for players to card
count it just makes it ridiculous.
But what is the online casino community
supposed to do about it? They aren’t
there so it could easily be taken
advantage of online. The online casino
community is aware that they are going
to get a lot of card counters because
this is what they do to get an edge, and
no one is there watching them to ensure
a fair and equitable game. The online
casino is left to the honor system,
hoping that their players won’t use it
to help them win.
