Online Casino News: Online Casinos Gave Away Big Jackpots

The online casino industry has really become nothing to sneeze at. They are responsible for making many people millionaires if not multi millionaires – and for those that think that they are a passing fancy or some kind of fad – you will be sorely disappointed when you find out that they aren’t going anywhere any time soon. The online casino industry is very proud of the fact that they have paid out millions upon millions of dollars to their players, and believe it or not the United States leads the pack in pay outs.
There have been a lot of complaints from players in the US saying that the online casinos that they play at don’t pay out as well as those overseas – and this might seem the case but when you look at the numbers it just is not true. The United States has paid out more than $50 million in pay outs for 2009 and Canada is a distant second. They are followed by France, Italy and the United Kingdom.
More than 9,000 winners have gotten pay outs across the board, and total paid out was around $100 million – with the US responsible for more than half of that. After the top five you have Greece, Australia, Germany, the Russian Federation and South Africa rounding out the top ten in terms of payouts. South Africa actually paid out significantly less than the other countries, but still maintained the number ten spot on the list.
With Japan’s insistence on keeping online casino gambling illegal, it is no wonder that they come in at the bottom of the list, having paid out five and a half times less what the US did.
