Online Casino Deposits Down
The economic crisis is hitting
everyone. There was a period of
time where the online casino
industry was actually benefiting
from it, but now they are
feeling the pinch as well. Land
based casinos felt it first as
people had less money to gamble
because they were putting so
much of it into their gas tanks,
and slowly they saw fewer people
willing to make the drive at
all.
This was initially a good thing
for the online casino industry
as they saw that they were
benefiting from this lack of
travel. Instead of spending
money on gas and other
incidentals, players were able
to log into their account online
and never leave their home. This
meant a lot more money for the
online casino industry, and
business was booming.
However, it seems that people
are now running out of money to
gamble, period. People are
spending less money on many
things out there – and the
online casino industry is one of
those things that is getting cut
out of people’s budgets.
However, initially people were
putting anywhere from $100 to
$200 in their accounts, on
average, over the course of two
weeks. Now they are seeing
deposits of $25-$50 over the
same period of time.
This might be initially bad news
for the online casino industry,
as they are losing money, but it
is also good news because it
shows that people are smart. The
argument has always been that if
you could access an online
casino from your home then you
would become addicted and lose
everything. With people cutting
back in their spending it shows
that they are in control of what
they spend and that addiction is
not running rampant.
