Online Casino News: Waiting…and
Waiting…

It was disappointing to say the
least, but online casino patrons have
discovered that they are going to have
to wait a little longer to see the
fruits of their labors come to pass. It
looks as though the legislation that
Rep. Barney Frank has been trying to get
passed will not happen until at least
next year.
The government has been saying that
although they are aware of the push for
online casino legalization, they are
working on more important items like the
economy for now. But online casino
patrons know that they are one and the
same. They know that if online casino
gambling is legalized that there will be
billions of dollars brought into the
country from the industry.
However, those online casinos that are
taking US customers are getting the
benefits of their money without having
to worry about paying taxes on it. The
US is losing money by the day to an
industry that could easily assist them
in a very short period of time.
Frank had initially thought that there
would be discussions come Fall regarding
the online casino bill – but that no
longer appears to be an option. Instead
online casino gambling has been tabled
for now. This means that those “illegal”
sites will continue to prosper.
There are many land based casinos like
Harrah’s Entertainment that have started
looking into their own online casino
site – and they are all put on hold now
as well. They say that they can wait for
now, but they know that eventually –
hopefully more sooner than later –
online casino gambling will be legal in
the US.
