Online Casino News: PayPal Comes Back to Online Casino Gambling

The times they are a changin’ which can be seen no where more clearly than in places like PayPal. When the online casino industry got hit with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act or UIGEA, many payment processors got nervous and chose to exit the market as it pertained to online casino gambling all together.
PayPal was one of those payment processors who chose to leave for fear of being prosecuted by the US federal government. But with so much talk about online casino gambling becoming legal here and many other countries, it would seem that PayPal is starting to change their tune. The payment processor has announced a very limited means of allowing online casino gambling to go on under their roof.
They have announced that they will start taking online casino bets from the United Kingdom for some online bingo and online casino sites. What is exciting about this is that when they were in the business of online casino payment processing they were one of the best out there. Their processing was almost instantaneous – which meant that not only were you paid out almost immediately but you were also able to get your money in the online casino just as fast which meant very little waiting to actually get to play.
They are being cautious about the way that they are handling their re-entry because they want to be sure that they don’t step on any of the toes that they managed to avoid the first time around. If the UIGEA is overturned you can be sure that they will be ready to move into the US as well.
