Online Casino News:
BC is Looking at the Future
by Joanne R Sunday August 30, 2009 at

British Columbia residents are excited
because they think that there is a good
chance that online casino gambling could
be right around the corner for them. The
BC Lottery Corporation is aware of the
push to legalize online casinos and
wants to ensure that they get some of
that money that will be coming in from
them.
All of this comes on the heels of the
Lottery Corporation announcing tht they
were now allowing betting of $10,000 a
week, up from the $120 a week that it
was before. Residents say that this move
is obviously their way of getting ready
to compete in the world of online
casinos where it would be imperative to
allow players to gamble with more money
– or they will go elsewhere.
They can see that the other countries
around the world have either already
allowed online casino gambling or are in
the process of doing so. They didn’t
think that the US would fall, but it
looks like they could be allowing online
casino gambling as early as Spring of
next year. They do not want to miss out
on the opportunity should it present
itself, so the Lottery Corporation is
already taking those first important
steps.
According to the company, they say that
they have to try and keep online casino
gambling here instead of it going to
another country like Antigua. They are
aware of the problems that the online
casinos have with taxes – and they are
there to fill in the gaps that have been
left by their leaving.
