Online Casino News:
Atlantic City Loses Business to
Online Casinos
by Joanne R Thursday August 13, 2009 at

Atlantic City is reporting that they are
still losing money to the online casino
industry and it dos not make them happy.
This past month their earnings dropped
13%, while many other states are
starting to see their earnings climbing
again. It was often thought that
when the recession turned around again
that the money and the players would
come back to the city, but it seems that
this is not necessarily going to be the
case.
Atlantic City has been cutting jobs and
hence they have been cutting the quality
of their services. As it becomes more
and more apparent that the quality is
just no longer there patrons are looking
to go elsewhere. There have been many
complaints about customer service –
which is one of the places that have
seen significant cuts – as well as the
condition of the hotels.
These things draw their clients away to
the online casino industry and once
people realize what it is like it is
tough to get them back. They realize
that they can save money from hotels and
traveling and use that money to play
more; and then they think about the way
it was, they realize that there is not
much of a draw for those players that
might have otherwise come back.
They say that you add all of this to the
fact that there are also many more
casinos in neighboring states than there
ever have been before and you have a
recipe for disaster.
