Online Casinos Have No
Effect on Sports
A recent study has shown that contrary
to the belief that online casinos lead
to corruption in sports – that no such
link has been found. In fact, the study
shows that there is very little to show
why this has been the belief, but that
nothing could be further from the truth.
The idea is that because of online
casinos sports have been corrupted over
the years – and that there is a direct
link between the two.
This is not the case, and in fact they
have found that online casinos and
sports gambling have not interfered with
either honest or already corrupted
sporting events. This goes against
everything that many have believed –
including big sports giants like the
National Football League or the National
Basketball Association.
This is assuredly big news to the NFL
who recently announced that they are
going to be hiring a full time lobbyist
to go against the legalization of online
casinos. The UK Gambling Commission says
that the fears of corruption based on
the influence of online casinos are
unfounded.
The commission says that they have
received numerous reports of online
casino tampering, or influence, on the
outset of sporting events. They have
investigated all of the reports, and
immediately discarded more than half of
them as not having anything to do with
the online casino industry. They have a
few left to investigate, but right now
it seems as though the fears in these
cases as well are not necessarily
warranted.
