April 7, 2009 Online Casino News:
Playtech Goes Sporty
Playtech is pleased to announce that
they have decided to start offering
sports betting to their portfolio. They
are going to keep the platform of games
that they currently offer and they are
going to add sports betting to it, as
many of their customers have asked them
to do so. They want to be able to make
their clients happy, so they have chosen
to look into the idea, and found that
they really liked it.
They said that the addition of sports
betting allows them to start to build a
larger portfolio for them to be able to
offer to their online casino clients.
They say that they will be able to offer
a “complete suite” of online casino
gaming products for their current and
future licensees, which will in turn
enable them to bring in more clients
with the additional offerings. This in
turn allows Playtech to become larger
and more profitable, thus enabling them
to offer even more to their licensees.
The move comes at an ideal time as the
company had been looking into sports
betting, and then were able to sign an
acquisition deal with Player2Players
giving them access to their long line of
betting exchange and sports betting
software platforms. Members of Playtech
are thrilled with the idea that sports
betting will be able to be offered
through the company now, as they say
that this enables them to grow within
the online casino community.
The iPoker Network was already
considered to be well of its time, and
now with the additional gaming, they are
able to offer sports betting in addition
to casino gaming, bingo, mobile and live
gaming, and land based gaming. They have
become a considerably stronger online
casino software company with this move,
and their affiliates could not be
happier.
