The world of poker gambling is highly competitive and finding new poker lovers every week. Just look at how many companies are cropping up with a specialty of poker gaming. They know that the game is one of the most popular and they want to capitalize on its lucrative nature. More and more gamers are pushing for strategy-based games. Luck based games are fun, but they don’t have the same shelf-life that strategy games do. You can wager for years honing your skill at a strategy based game. Just ask the many poker players who get in on as many big games as they can to practice and get better. The recent WSOP brought a few new poker professionals to new levels of popularity. Now Maria Ho is the newest inductee to the Ultimate Bet family. Her job is to now make public appearances for the casino website company. Ho was the last woman standing recently at the WSOP and she placed 38th in the 2007 series of the game. Since then she has continued to bring in a great name for herself by playing in other tournaments and doing exceptionally well. Namely—her WSOP win was not just a fluke. Obviously this is a player who knows that practice is the key to honing a poker game and she isn’t afraid of putting in the man…or woman hours…to do so.
So far she’s made a total of $417,000 in poker winnings over the years and this makes her one of the most successful female players in the world of poker gaming today. Her sponsorship deal with Ultimate Bet is sure to open the door to a new market. Ho will continue to speak to other women who are interested in the game of poker and tournament play. She will attract them and give them hope that with some practice and a little luck, they can do the same thing she did and reach a new level of notoriety in the market. Expect to see Ho representing the Ultimate Bet family of online casinos and helping to promote their brand in the coming year.

The growth of poker in the gambling market has been a thing of beauty for gaming companies. It is working just like it should be—bringing in thousands of new players every month and bringing in added millions along with them. The most intriguing thing about the game is that is the perfect combination of skill and luck. Sure there is an element of luck—if you don’t have the right cards you are going to have a hard time coming up with a win, but you can still work with a hand. If you have a good strategy, you can sometimes overcome a naturally bad hand. You can still parlay it into a valuable winning game. This is why so many gamblers love the game. Plus add to the basic set up the fact that the games have a wide variety of different styles to enjoy and you won’t easily get bored with the game possibilities that are out there.
With all the game of poker has to offer, it also has to work hard to continue to bring in new gamers. One of the strategic ways it does this is via online and public endorsements. Most companies today have worked their way well into the mainstream market’s acceptance. It was not too long ago when gambling was still considered to be an underground activity that took a lot of money to play. High rollers, entertainers and other famous and wealthy people partook in the hobby, but few others dared. Today’s market has opened up that exclusivity to a long list of gamers who can reasonably find affordable games to enjoy. Now it is endorsement deals that are helping the world of gambling companies to find that greater market. Full Tilt Poker is an example of a casino that is using endorsements to its advantage. The company has so far signed many lucrative deals with sports stars. Their most recent is James Blake a top notch professional tennis player. His joining the team is proving to be a great deal because it is helping with advertising potential. Expect more and more poker-related companies to start moving into the market of endorsements. They know how large the market is and want to spread the word on what to gamers can expect and get via the market as vastly as possible.

A sign of where gambling online is moving can be seen with the sheer number of sponsorship deals on the table now. A few years ago it was unheard of for a gambling company to have big-name corporate sponsors. For the most part gambling was considered to be an underground activity for high rollers. Sure there were some other players who participated, but the biggest demographic was gamers who were looking to spend a lot quickly. Now that market has opened up to include people who love to wager—high rollers and moderate level wagerers too. Online casino Bodog.com has just signed on to a contract with Edmonton Oilers, an ice hockey team in Canada. The deal allows Bodog.com to advertise its brand at all the games and to feature the team on the online casinos the company operates. The play also involve rink—board advertising plans, track signs and radio spots featuring the new coupling. This is a sign of where the market is quickly moving. Gambling companies are finding that they command the same respect in the market as other large top-dollar companies. Just as easily as you would see Jet Blue or Microsoft advertising at a sporting event, now you are going to see more and more gambling companies doing the same.
And why shouldn’t they? Gambling companies are showing record numbers right now. They are seeing a huge growth rate and even in a still-depressed economy, they are one of the few markets that still shows growth and revenue consistently. If you love to wager, then you are part of that demographic that is being targeted to the advertising plans of gambling companies. President of the Oilers, Patrick LaForge stated that this teaming up with Bodog.com is a great move for the team and the online gambling company. The mutual promotion both are going to get from the move should be well worth the millions of dollars being transferred from the casino to the team. Plus many members of the team are excited to test out the games at Bodog.com themselves. They are fans of gaming and are anticipating hours of fun at the online casino.

One of the biggest moves in the world of business is finding sponsors. A good sponsorship deal can bring huge returns. Consider Michael Jordan sponsoring a clothing line like Nike—he gets paid millions to promote the brand, but in return the brand gets huge notoriety and sales. Sponsorship deals in the world of gambling have grown considerably. The WSOP started off as a small gathering of players who loved the game. This year the tournament was sponsored by corporations to the tune of millions and millions of dollars. This is one example of how sponsorship deals are put together in the world of gambling these days. Recently the Jockey Club, one of the biggest sports clubs in the market, and Stan James announced a sponsorship deal that is going to last for five years. The deal starts at the Cheltenham Festival with the beginning of the Stan James Champion Hurdle. Stan James is paying the Jockey Club for their promotion and hoping that the move is mutually lucrative for both companies.
One of the biggest players to benefit from the sponsorship deal is going to be Racing for Change. It is a project that is scheduled to bring a new notoriety to the world of race tracks and expand its market. remember that since the recession, race tracks have suffered in numbers greatly – almost to the point of eliminating race tracks from the market altogether. Racing companies all over the world are struggling and people are not yet coming back into the doors. Many have formed “racinos”, or combinations of race tracks with slots parlors, in an effort to bring in more people to wager. The Racing for Change is an event that hopes to gain a lot of notoriety from the sponsorship deal. If it can change things, the race tracks involved can benefit. Part of the problem with the market is how can it turn the reputation of ‘low returns’ around? Some companies are pushing for bigger returns on gambling and extra prizes to bring more people into the tracks. This sponsorship deal can with to help the companies involved come up with a new, and much needed market of gamblers.

One of the most interesting things about poker these days is its quick catapult into the mainstream market. No longer is gaming a small-niche market. There was a time a few decades ago when poker had a small fan base that played loyally, but were by no means going to push the market into the billion-dollar range. There were the high-rollers who built up the market in dollars. Along with the other big-dollar players like the entertainment industry, they built the poker market up but it was an exclusive room. Then suddenly poker started taking off. Its growth can be seen with the movement of the WSOP. This tournament began as a small table of game lovers who wanted to promote it. If you look at what the WSOP is now, you can see the huge progression it has made. The WSOP now is a multi-million dollar event with mainstream sponsorship and thousands of entrants. There are hundreds of satellite tournaments to get in on the WSOP. Overall it is one of the biggest events in the market of poker gaming right now. Its growth is a sign of how popular the game has gotten.
Now FullTiltPoker.com has shown a growth in sponsorship by bringing Boxing Champion Audley Harrison onto their team. Harrison is facing off in the World Boxing Association’s heavyweight title coming up next week. He is going to be boxing David Haye in Manchester. This is a great sponsorship deal because not only is it going to bring move publicity to the game of poker, but it also is going to set FullTiltPoker.com as one of the leading poker rooms in the online world. There are few other rooms right now that have as many options as this one does. Plus, the casino is quickly setting its sights on some great players to sponsor the company. Expect the future of gambling to be pushed forward by companies like FullTiltPoker.com. They are the top poker rooms available today and any gamer should take advantage of it. Not only are the bonuses great, but the casino is offering some of the best tournaments you are going to find in the online market today.

There is good news in the world of gambling now that Google TV has announced that it is going to be advertising via online casinos. This is a huge move in the world of business. Since the beginning of time people have used advertising to bring in new customers but casino gambling has taken a while to take off. It was a sign a few years ago when the WSOP, or World Series of Poker, saw corporate sponsors get in on the fun and start advertising at the tournament. It was a good sign that poker and gaming overall is quickly moving into the mainstream. Though it used to be an underground activity primarily, poker has taken a new popularity in the market. Once the WSOP started welcoming mainstream sponsors, it opened the door for an entirely new market to see how much fun poker is and how it is a game for anyone, not just the high rollers.
Now that Google TV has made advertising moves onto big name casinos, it is going to also open the door for other huge online giants to look at gambling as a viable option for advertising. Companies are realizing how huge the market is and how potentially lucrative can be if managed properly. It is estimated that 217 million people play games online and that means billions of dollars in revenue are sitting there. Advertising is taking on a new configuration with the addition of the casino market. Expect more big name companies to take on the online market and see how much money is available. With an online market of approximately 1.9 billion worldwide, advertisers know that they can’t dispel the notion of using casinos to bring their own brands to the market. They are going to push that market and now that legalization of online gambling is a topic for almost every state, that means more and more people are going to enter the market. They will be easily reachable via advertising to their markets and companies are going to take full advantage of that and bring their own products and services to the gambling market.

San Miguel Food and Beverage Group’s CEO Raymond Ang voiced a desire to purchase gambling group PAGCORP from the Philippines for $10 billion. It was earlier this week that Ang said the company was in serious negotiations to try to capitalize on the popularity and money-generating potential of PAGCORP. Many companies these days are looking to gambling and getting their own portion of its huge revenues as a way to generate their own funds. It may be lucrative, but it is not without some cause for concern. The blending of a gambling company into a corporate entity is not seamless automatically. Companies have to debate the meaning coupling up with a gambling company means. There is still a portion of the community that has a negative view of gambling in general. With any debates over the issue, it isn’t a land-slide issue. In fact, the division is about 50/50 still, with a slight lead to pro-gambling initiatives.
San Miguel Food and Beverage Group is no rethinking Ang’s earlier statement that bringing in gambling is inevitable. Ang named Malaysian money-makers Robert Kuok, Francis Yeoh and Ananda Krishnan as the three main partners in the venture. Unfortunately, their representatives are citing otherwise. In fact, their representatives are saying that the men had no dealings in the negotiations and are unaware of any changes or desire of their own companies to venture into the world if gambling for the purpose of investing.
The move is creating some controversy in the market and Ang is under fire for stating unfounded things about the investors and the San Miguel Food and Beverage Group. Investors are not ready to state what really happened but are trying to stifle the rumors Ang started with his premature statements about the company’s direction. Though gambling is proving to be a lucrative venture, it still isn’t without its own sore spots with many executives. The investors involved are most likely not going to give in and if they are in the midst of negotiating about the inclusion of gambling in their business models, they aren’t letting it out until there is more of a solid plan.

Sports betting has grown in the past few years, much like overall gambling has in the online world. For a long time all types of gambling were considered to be underground activities. They were looked at as activities done by mobsters, high-rollers or Las Vegas entertainers. Overall gambling was not something that was accepted by the general public. In particular slots betting was something that was looked down upon and sporting teams throughout the country. Owners in the past have seen sports gambling as something they didn’t want to get involved in. They believed it had a “bad reputation” and affiliated it with the underground of society. Now, things are changing quickly.
For the first time sports teams are seeking out gambling sponsors. In fact, the NFL recently made moves to include a high-priced sponsorship deal with an online casino. Though it was merely another business deal, it made a huge change in the market. For the first time sports teams are thinking of using gambling sponsors to fuel their promotional campaigns.
All eyes are on the coupling of the first sports team of the NFL and the gambling sponsor. Insiders want to see how lucrative the deal is and how well it works. Most likely it is going to be a premiere deal and other companies are already gearing up to join in the same type of strategic alliance. Now the MLB, NBA, NCAAB, MHL, NFL and the NCAAF are all looking for their own opportunities to market via sponsorship to online gambling websites. The reality is that online casinos are big business these days and they are also bringing in billions of dollars. Casinos are a light at the end of the financial tunnel when it comes to finding the money companies need to overcome difficult budgets and deficits.
If you are a fan of sporting events expect more affiliate partnerships and the inclusion of big-name online casinos. It is a time when the hobby is now growing into a viable option for corporate sponsorship and mainstream acceptance. That’s great news for fans of teams. It means that as the year moves on they will gain more notoriety and have bigger budgets for bigger promotions and shows to enjoy.
