Charity Poker Event Coming in November
Tuesday, September 21st, 2010Poker stars Annie Duke and Howard Lederer are slated to host a poker night coming in November of this year. On November 3rd the duo are hosting the “Child Rescue’s Charity Poker Night” at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California. The event is set to bring a growing awareness to the cause and both poker players are the poker players to do it. Annie Duke and Howard Lederer are two prize-winning poker players who have made names for themselves doing the rounds in the poker world. Each one made waves at the WSOP at one point or another and are both WSOP bracelet winners. Each one has a great reputation in the world of poker and that reputation is causing them to use their notoriety for good!
Child Rescue is an organization that is working to eliminate child sex trafficking throughout the United States and Canada. By bringing notoriety to the cause, it is hoped that more funds will be available to help stop the illegal practice endangering children. The event will start on the Red Carpet at 7pm and the tournament will start an hour later. All poker aficionados should check out the event. So far in attendance will be some heavy star power like Mike Sexton, Alan Cunningham, Yosh Nakano, Melissa Hayden, Gina Hecht and Brian Herowitz. They are all big names in the world of poker gambling and have made huge strides in the market of gambling in general. The celebrity director is going to be Dianna Donofrio-Trigatzi. Buy-in for the event is $200 plus an entry fee of $40. There will be a silent auction. If you want to just attend the event then tickets are $75. Prizes included for the night are guitars signed by banks like Dashboard Confessional and Third Eye Blind. This is set to be a great star-studded event with a great payout at the end.
