If you are bored with blackjack gaming, the one thing you can do to improve your experience is to get in on a tournament. Blackjack is one of the most popular games on the casino floor for good reason. It combines the inevitable element of luck that every gambling game has, but it also has a good dose of strategy to it. Just look at the basic strategy chart and you can see how important skill is to winning the game. It is by no means one of those games that is based solely on luck, and that is what makes it so popular. If you are bored with gambling at the “regular” blackjack table, a good tournament can jar you into gaming fun again.
With blackjack tournaments you have a set amount of time to wager. Tables are set with six places and normally there are a good number of them at the beginning of an event. For example, you may see a room with eighteen tables of six people each, for a total of 108 players. Each round then has a certain number of minutes to play out. As each round progresses, only the top two players at the table advance. Those players then form new six-seat tables until the final table is left of six of the best players. To get to the “best players” status you have to come up with the most coins at each table you wager at. It keeps going until that final table and that is where the overall winner is crowned. If you ever get in on a tournament you are going to notice how quickly things change immediately. Though there were 108 gamers to start, that number is considerably shored down within a few rounds. Anyone bored with the game would do well to find a tournament. They are fast-paced and a lot of them come with great payouts if you are the lucky winner, or one of the top winners. Search around a bit, but no doubt you soon will find a great tournament to get in on and test your own blackjack skill.

If you are an avid blackjack player at land-based casinos no doubt you have toyed with card counting. There are many different styles of card counting out there. Some are basic and others are more detailed. The Hi-Lo method is one of the most common starting places for anyone who wants to start card counting. This system teaches you to use one of three numbers for cards— +1, -1 or zero. As cards come down onto the table, you keep a running tally. Every card has one of those three values to it and you add, subtract or do nothing to keep your total. That total tells you the probability of lower-numbered cards versus higher-numbered cards. That in turn tells you what the best decision is for your next wagers and moves.
Though card counting helps, it does take some doing to get down. Let’s face it, when you go to a high-energy casino it’s not easy to concentrate, much less keep a running tally of numbers. Most casinos are built for excitement. You walk in the hear shouts of joy and groans of disappointment. You see lights everywhere and music, along with machines buzzing and whirring. Casinos aren’t built for concentration! If you are looking to start card counting then it may take some time to quell the noise of a casino. The best thing to do is practice. You may want to start by watching a good blackjack game. Just take your time with the card counting and get used to the actual strategy of it. This could take time, but it isn’t impossible. There are millions of blackjack players out there and a good number of them are card counters. Once you get your strategy down, then start using it in a few real games. You are going to find that the best way to get better with any strategy-based gambling game is to just practice. Put yourself in as many different situations as possible and use the skills you are trying to hone. Given time, you are going to find yourself doing things more automatically and this is where your strategy truly begins to form.

Blackjack is one of the most popular games you are going to find on the casino floor these days. If you love games of luck and skill, then blackjack and poker both should be at the top of your list in terms of games to play whether online or at a land-based casino. Blackjack dates way back to the 16th century amazingly enough. It first started in Italy and was a game that took off immediately. Of course it was slightly different in that the game was played with cards all valued at seven or higher. Smaller value cards were not used. The basics were the same—you added values to get to the opportune total. If you went over, you lost and the player closest won. If you played one of those games now you could see the differences, but overall it had the same basic principles. Cards have their face value, or a different value, and you add them up to get under a certain total.
If you fast forward to current times, blackjack still incites a lot of interest among gamers because of its strategy level. Unlike slots that are totally based on luck, blackjack is a game that has a huge element of strategy to it. That’s what makes it so much fun too. You can play a game and never have a total handle on what happens due to luck, but still play better if you give yourself some time to study strategy. Remember that with blackjack there is a basic strategy chart you should keep handy. This is a chart that works with probabilities. It says if the dealer has a certain card and you have certain cards, the probabilities say you should make a certain move. It will tell you to hold or take another card. This is all based on the numbers and that’s what makes the chart so reliable for any blackjack gamer. If you are going to play blackjack you should know the strategy chart like the back of your hand. Of course give yourself practical time to learn it, but once you do you should have a lot of fun with the game. Hopefully you will even walk away with a great blackjack win!

If you are a fan of blackjack then no doubt you have heard about card counting. This is where a player keeps track of the cards that come down from the dealer. They keep a running tally of the cards and assign each card a specific value. Though there are many variations of card counting out there, it is a tool that thousands of gamers use when they go to a land-based casino. The entire system is based on math and if you can stay focused, you can increase your chances of a win. Basically card counting lets you know what is left in the deck- higher-value cards or lower-value cards. Depending on which, you alter your wagers. Again, the entire system is mathematical and if you get a hold of a basic strategy chart, you can see how moves are dictated by the numbers. Of course there still is a luck element to the game, but using the strategy chart along with card counting can substantially increase your chances of a great win and a great game.
So if card counting is so great, why can’t it be used in online blackjack? The card counting technique has helped millions of players who venture into land based casinos. They use it to predict what moves are most likely going to bring them the biggest returns. One hitch though: the cards being used are finite. Once a card shows itself on the table, it is no longer in the deck waiting to be dealt out. That means that probabilities shift and change. They get better as a player understands what cards are still in the dealer’s shoe. On the other hand, in an online casino there is no shoe. Every time a new card comes down, the computer within the game resets to the full deck. Every time there are theoretically fifty-two different cards in the deck, meaning no cards are every “used” by the virtual dealer. This is what makes card counting obsolete in the online market. If you love blackjack, here is where you are going to have to let go of your math. When playing online, you just have to focus on fun and the cards in front of you.

Upon playing the game of Blackjack, if playing for real money, you make your bet first, the dealer then deals you two cards, and after that you can request more to equal 21. Something that has long been considered illegal in the world of gambling is card counting. Despite the misconception, there are thousands of blackjack players who count cards. Of course if you get caught doing it, then you can be banned from the casino, or worse banned from any casino. In today’s market there are ways for casinos to easily network together and customers who are banned at one location, can easily be tracked at others. It’s like the self-exclusion list- the player has to opt in at just one casino and he or she is denied entrance to any casino!
Many times you will hear gamblers say the need to break even or get even, all they are saying is that they are trying to win to at least end their gambling session with the amount they started with. Sometimes high rollers on a bad night look to break even, but usually regular gamblers who don’t bet with large amounts of money look to break even when the night is not in their favor, and if a gambler is on a winning streak he or she may refer to themselves as being hot.
Most casino games both live and online are to the house advantage which means the casino percentage in each particular casino game. And while you are at a live casino you won’t want to deal with a klipper. A klipper is someone who lingers around a casino looking for free hand outs. If you ever are bothered by a klipper and there is no staff walking around you can always find a pit boss to help you. A pit boss is found in the pit at the casino. A pit is the area of a casino where a group of game tables are arranged, and the center is restricted to the dealers, certain casino personal and the pit bosses. Of course there are a lot more terms used in casinos both live and online, but the most commonly used ones have been written about above. You want to give yourself a chance to get used to gaming though. It isn’t an instantly-learned hobby. Some games take more time than others, but the payback will be well worth it!

Nevada gaming officials just announced that they are adding dancers to casinos in the area, but how effective will that be? Gaming has become stale in a lot of ways since casinos have lost millions of dollars in revenue due to the recession. The recession was hard on the market and now gamers everywhere are still not returning to their old buying patterns. Many believe that they should still be conservative with their discretionary funds as the market works its way out of the recession. They are trying to push gamblers to come in and start gambling again. This may prove to be a difficult task and whether or not dancers will have an effect on the issue has yet to be seen. It’s clear what the casinos are trying to do though. Consider this—a young male gambler comes in to a casino and wants to gamble at the blackjack tables. He is met by the slew of dancers set to entertain on the dance floor when he rushes to gamble. Rather than reading the table rules (which is a necessity in the world of gambling) he jumps right in. it blinds him to the fact that those same casinos who brought in dancers also changed the payout rates to 6-5, which is considerably lower than it has been in past years. He also may not be able to focus on his strategy and good gaming.
So will the dancers prove lucrative for the casinos in Nevada? Well, casino operators are setting themselves up for an additional cost of paying that roster of dancers. That in itself is a considerable cost, but with the money coming partially out of former gambling payout money, it may work. Whether to not it will bring in more customers, or make them gamble longer has yet to be seen. Only time will tell, but it seems like a pointless addition. Though casinos are hoping it works, are people really that interested in watching dancers? This is Las Vegas! They can go to see dancers at any location, and that may sway them from falling for the dancer trick.

If you want to play blackjack there is big difference between online blackjack play and land-based blackjack play. Of course there is the normal difference of one being set up at a gambling location, and the other mobile, but beyond that there are more differences. The main difference any gamer should be aware of is the payout difference. In blackjack gaming you want to increase your chances of a win by playing as many rounds as possible. If you are in a land-based casino you are going to have to wait for a slew of other players to finish their wagers. For example, newer players might take a long time to make decisions, to check their strategy chart and to wager. This cuts down on the number of wagers you can make throughout the hour. Playing against other players always introduces the aspect of time consuming players who cut back on your winning potential. On the other hand, if you play games online then you are the only one holding back the movement of the game. You will be playing against the dealer and you are the only one taking time to decide on a wager or move. This can increase the number of rounds you get through. In fact, a recent study showed that players in land-based casinos play approximately fifty-five rounds per hour while players playing online play approximately two-hundred twenty rounds. In a lot of ways gambling is about the numbers. Increase the numbers and you increase your chances of winning.
Though that is the main payout difference between gambling online and land-based, there is still another major difference. In online blackjack you can take advantage of the still-huge payouts that are around. You may have to search for them, but they are out there. Land-based gaming is changing quickly and odds are being altered to limit your potential win all the time. You just may have a better shot at a big win if you are logged in to an online casino rather than going to your local one because of this. Both offer a great gaming experience, but online gaming can be more lucrative. Test it out for yourself.

Over the past few years more and more gamers are finding the virtues of free-play too much to resist. With blackjack, the same is true. Blackjack is an easy game to get the hang of, but still has enough complexity to keep you interested. You want to have a basic strategy chart handy at all times. Remember that this is your number one asset if you are a gamer. It is a chart that shows you what moves to make in various situations. If the dealer has a certain card and you have a certain hand, you will only have to check with the strategy chart to find out what to do. Knowing when to stand or hit is the number one issue you are going to have to learn with this type of gaming. That is why the basic strategy chart is so important to newer players. Even seasoned players sometimes keep a strategy chart with them to make sure they make the right moves at the right times. Most casinos won’t have a problem with players keeping their own chart handy at all times.
One of the best things about the above casinos though is that they all come stocked with a wide variety of bonuses. For example, Rome Online Casino is currently running a promotion that gives first-time players a great start-up bonus. In the world of gambling finding a casino that offers a good start-up/first-time bonus is one of the biggest advantages. That means that if you deposit $200, for example, the casino will match it with a 100, 200 or sometimes even a 300% bonus. So instead of having just $200, you are going to have $400, $600 or $800 bonus, respectively. That’s great news for anyone wanting to game because it gives you a chance to play without risking your own money. In all senses of the phrase it is “free money” to have fun on. If you are a blackjack gamer, then test out anyone of the above casinos and see how much fun free online blackjack can be. It may take some time to get the hang of the game, but once you do, you are going to see what all the hype is about!
