Ways to Fund Your Account

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Because of the growth in gambling, ways to deposit to your account online are expanding too. There was a time when you could play online games only if you had a credit card and an e-wallet solution. Remember that we have been working under the UIGEA, or Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, is still in effect. Sure there are plenty of people fighting the bill, but it has yet to be changes. As of right now the UIGEA is in full effect. That means that financial institutions are still hindered from accepting gambling-related activities or processing them.

For this reason, if you are in the US and want to wager, you have to use an e-wallet solution for gaming. This is one of the most important third-party relationships you are ever going to have. The e-wallet solution is a convenient one. Basically it is the way for a company to hold your money. That company isn’t a bank so it doesn’t fall under the same laws that banks do. This should make it more possible to wager and easier to fund your account. PayPal is an e-wallet solution of sorts, but it does not allow for gambling in the US. The company pulled out of the US when the UIGEA went into effect back in 2006.
If you need to fund your account, you should use some e-wallet like Quick Tender, Neteller, Pay Spark, e-Wallet Xpress, or My Wallet. Any of these companies is reliable and you are going to be able to safely deposit money to them for wagering. In addition, having a third-party hold your money also protects your actual bank account. You control how much you deposit to an e-wallet. If you want to limit your wagering to just $100 this week, you can deposit just that amount. It is a great way to monitor your funds. On the other hand, you also can use a bank transfer to fund an account. This is easy, but you have to be willing to wait for the transfer to go through. Depending on the speed of your bank, this option could take a long time though. The best way to fund your account is to use the e-wallet option.

What is ‘Breach of Contract’ in Gaming

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

When you go to a new casino you always should do some type of research. You don’t have to read every word of the Terms of Service, but you should know the basics on how this particular casino manages. You want to know what the bonuses are, how they payout and what you can do if you need help. You should let this became automatic—you want to know what is going to happen with your money, after all! If you are following online gambling news, most likely you have seen a few instances where gamblers did not receive their payouts on the schedule they had hoped. Why is this? The only viable reason to not paying out a gamer is if the gamer him or herself voided the contract due to some sort of breech. For example, recently there was a surge in underage wagering at land based casinos. One eighteen-year old boy played for about twenty minutes until he won the big jackpot. Rather than running, he stayed and boldly tried to collect his payout. The casino of course turned him away, but their reason was because he played in the first place and shouldn’t have. He was underage and that alone makes him ineligible for a win of any kind should he get lucky.

The only viable reason a casino will turn you down for a win is if you breach their contract in some way. When you are wagering at an online casino or at a land based casino remember that you are entering into a contract with the casino. Though you don’t sign anything, you should note that all casinos have some check. You might see a sign at a land based casino that says clearly if you opt to wager on the games in that facility, then you are agreeing to abide by their rules. If you don’t, then you disqualify yourself from any kind of payout in the future. Casinos have ways to protect themselves. They know how to build air-tight contracts with the customers. Your responsibility as a gamer is to protect your own interest. You should make sure that you find a casino that has a clear and transparent TOS to ready. Again—you don’t have to read every word of it, but you should know what the payout procedures are and what your requirements are too.

Checking Payout Procedures at a Casino

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Have you ever heard of an online casino that doesn’t “pay out?” The market of gambling has a wide variety of online casino options. Just like other forms of business, you are going to find good business and bad businesses. Just take a look at one mall—you may have a top notch women’s clothing store in one corridor but a horrible clothing store right next to it. Your job is to do a little research and find out whether or not the store you are going into actually has what you want and can offer it with the right amount of customer service you need. The exact same is true of online gambling companies. You want to play at the ones that are going to take care of all your needs—gaming, bonuses, customer service and most importantly, payout. Different companies have different rules regarding payouts. Some casinos, for example, require that you wait a certain number of days before you collect. This isn’t necessarily a scam or any illegal move; it may be that they have a certain confirmation process that takes a little longer than most. You want to do a Google search to see what other people’s experiences with games at the particular casino you are considering. See if that gives you any insight into what is really going on with the casino.

Before you sign up at a new casino you should always be familiar with their payout procedures. You are going to be able to find this information in the casino’s Terms of Service or TOS. The TOS page is the one that is going to give you a great idea of what you need to do to collect a win. Normally there are different procedures for winning different amounts of money. If you win $50, most likely it is going to be automatically deposited to your account almost immediately after you win it. You should not wait for more than twenty-minutes for your money to be in your account. On the other hand, a $50,000 win is going to take a little longer. The TOS is going to tell you clearly what exactly to expect when it comes to the payout.

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

They both have been around for a while now and have contributed great games to the market. if you love to wager then most likely you have had some experience with one or even both of these companies. It is, but that doesn’t mean that all the games are simplistic or boring. They aren’t. The world of gambling has come to a point where even games that have an easy instruction to them are still a lot of fun. Plus with the visual capabilities in the world of gaming, this makes the games even more exciting for the players.

Right now Wager Works is the company that has created the simplest hi-lo game. You can go to one of their websites and play their basic game. You have to guess if the next number it picks is higher or lower than the number picked. You can make various wagers on the game—you can wager everything, nothing or some amount in between. The flexibility of these games is something that people all over love. Though they aren’t intricate, they still offer hours of fun. The different ways the games are built is going to keep you playing for hours. Plus the payouts are getting bigger than ever! In the world of gambling today, games are more advanced than ever. Developers can take the simplest of games and create a game suite around it that is both fun, lucrative and exciting for any gamer to take advantage of.

Picking a Good Online Casino

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

As the online market continues to grow, you have to keep yourself safe. Remember that companies have a lot to offer these days. They know that to keep their businesses growing, they have to keep on offering the premiere games and specials that are going to bring customers in. This is great news for those who love to wager, but it also means that they have to be aware of the possibilities out there and how to sort through them effectively. If you are new to the online market there are a few things you can watch out for when picking a new casino and here are some tips. First of all, be sure to pick a company that has a half-million customers or more. You can find this information on the “About Us” page of the website normally. It means that you are going to be working with a casino that has already seen problems and overcome them. Despite some challenges, a half-million people are still satisfied enough to stay with them. This says something about what they are offering to the gaming public. Next make sure that you are working with a casino that has premiere security software. This isn’t hard to find out either. Just read up on the casino and see what it says about latest protocols and safety. You have to share personal information with an online casino and you want to make sure it is protected.

You also want to make sure that the casino has a variety of games if you haven’t picked a favorite yet. Some people know what they are looking for. If this is you, then bypass the searching stage and pick casinos that feature your preferred game. On the other hand, if you don’t have a favorite yet, then find a casino with a wide variety. This way you can play games at one central location and find out what you are looking for as a gamer. You can skip from one game to another until you find the ones you enjoy the most. Finding a good online casino isn’t hard due to the options, but you may want to take some time to find the right one for you.

TV Gambling Entering the Market

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

If you like to play games, then you are going to love the fact that gaming companies are pushing gaming further than it ever has been before. Now the newest thing is for gaming to be available on your television screen. Imagine being able to wager from your couch and have access to the same benefits you would if you were in a land based casino. This is what developers are striving for. They see the success of online gambling and now mobile gaming and want to take things one step farther. Right now Playtech is the company that is focusing on developing a good TV gambling market. The company is a leader in the world of gambling software. If you have played games online for any length of time, most likely you have experience with Playtech. The company has not been around that long, but in its short lifespan it has had time to come up with some of the best games you are going to find in the market. One of the benefits of the company is that it is able to continuously push its own technicians to build better and better gaming for the public. With the focus on TV gaming, expect the company to make some serious strides in 2011.

With the TV market and gambling, there are still some limitations. Games are similar to land based counterparts and online counterparts, but still aren’t the same. This is common though. There was a time when online games were close to land based games, but didn’t offer the same type of options, gaming fun or payouts. Now that it completely turned around. In fact, online games can be more fun and more lucrative that land based games now. The same could potentially happen with the TV market. It could be that you find games overcome the popularity of other formats of gaming soon. The biggest problem is that the market is new and that is most likely going to be remedied with the focus companies like Playtech are putting on the issue. Expect them to continue to work with developers and find solutions to the TV gaming market’s shortcomings.

Mobile Gaming Growing Quickly

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

The newest wave in the market is bringing casino games to mobile phones. Remember when cell phones were simple? They were used to communicate verbally when you were away from a land phone. Again, technology took root and started to develop the market. Cell phones were soon used for a variety of other actions beyond just verbal communication. The first change was bringing in texting. If you wanted to say something to someone all you had to do was type it into your cell phone and send a message to the recipient. This was further expanded with the creation of SMS messaging where you could send even longer message and pictures. You could suddenly send pictures, video files and sound bytes over your cell phones. No longer were they used for verbal communication—but rather turned into mini-computer centers for people to use when they were on the go.

If you look at cell phones now, they are actual computers. You can do pretty much everything you would do on a laptop or desktop from your cell phone if you opt for the Smart phone or Android ™ variety of phones. The latest wave is to be able to download applications to cell phone that allows for even more activities to be done. Online casinos are pushing in on the market right now with their own applications that allow for download. You can click a few buttons, install a casino’s software on your cell phone and play games. The games available aren’t limited either—any game you play on a desktop, you can now play when you are on the go. This is a market that is in a growth spurt right now and online casinos are taking full advantage of that. Expect more games to be available than ever as 2011 approaches. You should see all games that you can play online coming to the cell phone market. Developers are also going to continue to bring online payouts to the mobile platform. Now you can win big dollars when playing on your cell phone. The market is expanding and that means that programmers are pushing it to its limits. You can soon take advantage of anything on your cell phone that you see on a casino’s website.

New Jersey Legislators Approve Gaming Bill

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Online gambling in the US is moving forward. There was a question for a long time that gambling would not be allowed in the online market within the states. There are still sides drawn up against each other on the issue. On one hand there are legislators who are concerned about budgetary shortfalls and the deficit. The recent recession did not leave the country in a positive financial state. In fact, there are still a lot of problems to overcome in the market. This is why some legislators believe that with the added money from tax revenue dollars thanks to gambling online being legalized, the country could overcome shortfalls that much quicker. On the other hand though is a group of legislators with equally as convincing an argument. They believe that legalizing online gambling would do little to help the country protect itself. Though they acknowledge that there would be added funds to work with, a portion of those funds could have to be allocated for fixing problems gambling creates. For example, a city with online gambling legalized could bring in $20 million per month in added revenue however, if that initiative creates thirty-thousand new gambling addicts, where would they go for treatment? The city would have to allocate a portion of that $20 million to helping expand its gambling addiction centers and making them more accessible to everyone in trouble.

New Jersey though is a state that is opting towards online gambling’s legalization. Legislators recently approved a bill that would allow for bringing online betting rooms to the citizens of the state. Though the UIGEA is still in effect, it is up to individual states as to what they want to do with gambling and how they want to manage it. New Jersey of course is struggling with its Atlantic City location having drastically diminished numbers since the recession. Legislators are hoping if they open the door to improving the online market, they can bring in the revenues they are losing from the problems with Atlantic City revenues. Only time will tell what is going to happen and if this online gambling initiative is going to go through as planned, but hopefully the state will have some way of reviving its own flailing casino market.

Gaming in Poland Still Not Regulated

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

Poland is another country working with gambling laws. The country was recently in the news for its overwhelming problems with political scandals and gambling. There was a scandal concerning bribery and money laundering the country was under recently. Now that things have been supposedly remedies and those in question have been removed from office, the country is still trying to come up with a workable gaming law. Prime Minister Donald Tusk has traditionally been very conservative with his stance on gambling and is calling for some strict regulatory changes to the market. He already made the move to remove slots games from cafes, clubs, shops, arcades and service stations around the country. The reason that slots were targeted was because a recent study showed that slots may be some of the most addictive games on the market. Plus, their smaller wager requirements may be the very thing that gets gamers in trouble. For example, a gamer knows when they are wagering $50 per deal at a blackjack table. However, if they are wagering at a modest nickel-slot they may not be as keenly aware of how much money they are investing to play and losing at the games. This is why they are considered to be “dangerous” to those who may have an addiction or be prone to gambling addiction.

The addictive nature of slots is what Poland’s legislators are targeting. They are trying to regulate the market by cutting back on land based gambling that may affect their citizens negatively. In the future the country is going to have to look at a viable gambling plan. Though gambling is sure to bring in millions of dollars, there are other concerns that legislators are worried about. Will the increase in gambling automatically increase the numbers of gambling addicts? Will it cause underage people to want to wager? Will it detrimentally affect the market? These are all questions that legislators are posing right now. They have a gambling plan, but are not yet sure that it will continue to be effective as they work with gaming in the market. Only time will tell what changes need to be made and which ones will be truly affective for the market.
