Versus Planning on Live Broadcast of WSOP Circuit Games

There are a lot of positive changes in the poker market. They can all be attributed to the fact that the game is growing in popularity. With more and more gamers wanting in on big poker tournaments, it is making developers push technology hard to keep up. It is the old law of supply and demand. As long as there is a market wanting the best games, there are going to be developers more than willing to provide. They know that the market is growing exponentially right now and if they don’t keep up, other companies will. Now the WSOP, or World Series of Poker, is getting more and more attention. The WSOP of course is one of the biggest, if not the biggest event in poker gaming. It is a tournament that pays out multi-millions of dollars in jackpots to the various table winners. There are thousands who vie for a spot at the tables via satellite tournaments all over the world. The tournaments are broadcast live via ESPN and ESPN2 to the world too. Overall it is the biggest tournament in the market and people are continuing to value it as a great way to test their own poker skill against other players. Plus, if they win even a small table that can mean a life-changing amount of a jackpot they take home to enjoy.

Now Versus just announced that it is going to do a live broadcast of WSOP circuit tournaments that are going to be beginning June of 2011. The two-hour long telecasts are going to be on Versus and they will feature games from all of the US stops of the circuit. The final showing will be the broadcast of the WSOP Circuit National Championship from Caesar’s Palace. This is where the top 10 players are going to play for a final $1-million prize. Overall this is a sign of how popular poker gaming is becoming in the market. Venus knows full well how lucrative a deal this can be because poker is showing no signs of slowing down either. Expect more and more poker gamblers to enter the market in coming months as the payouts get bigger and the games get more intense.
