One of the biggest problems in today’s market of gambling is regulation. Though some countries are supportive of gambling and its advertisements, there are still some that are stepping in to deny various promotion. South Africa is one of these countries. It is no secret that the country has long been pushing for changes in gambling but legislators are not open. In fact, they have stood staunchly against gambling and its legalization. So far the government is undecided on the issue as a whole and that is coming to a head now that the government is stepping in the way of advertisers. Advertisers want to push their products to the market. Gambling companies know that there are potentially millions of dollars to be had with their customer bases. They are pushing for changes in the market that can help them to realize those millions on a consistent basis. The South African government however is making things difficult for companies as the country debates gambling as a whole.
The Department of Trade and Industry of Africa is so far following the lead of British regulations on gambling company advertising. The country is making regulations for gambling advertisers somewhat similar to the hefty regulations that liquor distributors have to work under. There is one shortfall though—they aren’t dictating what companies should expect in terms of print advertising from gambling companies. This window is leaving a clear door open for gambling giants to write their own rules. This window may not be open for long though. Thus far casino companies and industry insiders have been given just one month to debate out any suggestions they have regarding promotions and advertising. So far advertisers on television have to limit their gambling ads to what is defined as the “nighttime” hours. Restrictions could grow tougher as the market moves on. It doesn’t seem like the gambling world in South Africa is going to be sorted out any time soon and it could have more restrictions on it before arguments are finished. Only time will tell what happens, but South Africa is shaping up to be a country not enamored by the millions of potential tax revenue dollars gambling has to offer.

One of the best things about gambling today is the fact that there are payouts that are being pushed to outrageous levels. If you watched gambling just a few years ago then most likely you know that the games were limited and payouts were small. Not that you couldn’t have a good time at an online casino, but you certainly weren’t going to walk away with a life-changing amount of money. That has changed as of late. Now online gambling companies are pushing their payouts higher and higher. The world of online gambling is also able to push their payouts higher because of the popularity of the games casinos are offering. Consider that most companies online are seeing huge growth in their markets. They are pushing to the heightened levels that before were unheard of. If you wanted a life-changing payout you had to go to the land based casinos and get lucky. Now that is all changing. You can get the same life changing amount of money from a good online casino—and do it from the privacy of your own home while sitting on your own couch. Never before has this been possible and it is making online gamblers even more excited about logging into their virtual casinos these days.
Scotland is a country that has created the biggest millionaire so far. A local resident recently own The Football Pools and left with a cool GBP 3 million in prize money. It was the biggest payout of the country ever and that put the winner in a prime financial position as we creep up on 2011. Michael Elliot was the winner and he is now in the record books until the next big win as the biggest winner in Scottish history. He initially had to hand out just a few pounds to walk away with the win too! This is the greatest thing about online gambling. You can put out a small amount and if Lady Luck is with you, you can relatively easily turn it into a huge return. Of course it isn’t a sure thing, but that is part of the overall fun of gambling. You never know when you are lucky and when your financial life is about to change for the better.

On top of the games at Cake Poker, you also are going to find a long list of loyalty points to earn. If you are looking for a good casino, one of the best things to do is to find one that is going to grow with you as a gamer. Sure it’s great to get a good start-up bonus, but once that is gone, what is the casino going to continue to do for you? You want to make sure that it has a VIP program that you can work your way through as you wager more and more. A good program is going to have on average five tiers that you can work your way up on. You have to continue to push to get there, but they offer the biggest returns to gamers. For example, you may start off on the VIP program at the first level and earn just one point per $20 you wager. When you get to one-hundred-and-fifty points, you move to the second level. Here you earn one point per $15 you wager. Overall it is a great way to keep earning more and more as you move up. This is the kind of bonus you want—especially if you are an avid gamer. Why shouldn’t you consistently have returns that are bigger and bigger?
Not that a good start-up bonus should be totally discounted. In the world of gambling, online casinos offer big start up bonuses too. This is a market standard that a good casino will welcome you by offering you a good match bonus. It means that depending on what you wager, you can earn a percentage, if not all of it, back in credits. Of course there is normally some limit on how much you can earn back, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t take advantage of the huge returns. At Cake Poker you can get up to 110% of your first deposit. That is a great amount and is going to give you enough money extra to test out the games you want without risking your own cash. If you are looking for a premiere casino then visit Cake Poker. It has some great chances at good wins and you are going to have a lot of gaming fun.

The European Union is having problems with gambling regulations. The problems are coming from the fact that most member countries have their own gambling laws to uphold. Their own legislators have worked with the rules to come up with gaming laws that benefit them. A lot of countries made the mistake first of wanting to create monopolies. They believed that if they shored up their rules, they could legally maintain those monopolies and benefit from the money without having to spread it around. It’s a great plan, but it isn’t going to work according to the EU. The EU is maintaining a long lasting ruling of free trade. That is thwarting the plan some countries have regarding to keep money in their own borders, but it is not something they are easily going to be able to work around either.
The fact is that online gambling is a billion dollar business and that means that there are going to be a wide range of players not willing to release that potential of top dollars. They don’t want to pass up any opportunity to wager or to benefit. The problem though is that other governments don’t want to miss out on billions of dollars either. They know that free trade makes it possible for them to move in on other markets and other money. Free trade is proving to be one of the biggest positive attributes of the market today and proving to be a highly coveted asset. The EU has dictated rules well before the question of online gambling came into play. It put forth the rules way back and was meant for other forms of economic trade. Little did legislators know that they would be applying these rules to the world of gambling soon enough. Now that that market is expanding so vigorously it is coming to be one of the biggest assets that gaming companies have. Free trade is what is giving them the chance to market across borders and find new gamers to take advantage of their companies. It may take some time for everyone to get on board, but right now countries are still iffy on the free trade issue. In the future though, they are going to have little choice in the matter.

One of the best things that has happened for the gambling market is the introduction of big time tournaments. Whether they are gambling-based like the WSOP or sports based like the Super Bowl, gamblers everywhere jump on them for their exciting wagering possibilities. Online gambling companies take wagers in various sporting events in mass numbers and those numbers are set to do nothing but increase in the market. Sports betting is one of the most exciting and prevalent pastimes of the world’s gamblers and is showing no signs of slowing down. There is a new sporting event in the world and it is most likely going to be a welcome entrant to the world of wagering. It isn’t exactly “new” but it has been missing in the market for some time now and is first now reentering the market. It is the World Series of Golf, or WSOG.
The WSOG first began just three years ago and was created to pit the best golfers and poker players against each other. Now the 2010 leg of the tournament is well upon us. The games are going to be exciting because of how they combine gambling with professional golf play. This is something that is going to continue to grow in the market. More and more companies are going to combine with gambling due to its overwhelming popularity. It is a great way for companies to increase their own revenues in the market and come up with better promotional opportunities too. Online gamblers have proven to love sports wagering, and so do land based gamers. Overall bookmakers’ numbers have risen in the past few months—not to the levels they were pre-recession, but they still have been on a positive upswing. That is great news for the market because it is on an upswing too. If you look at the numbers—even in a depressed place like Las Vegas—you are going to see a definite turnaround. It isn’t as big as the market would like, but it still is positive. The WSOG is just one more gaming tournament that most likely is going to bring a huge amount of activity to the market in 2010.

France is working its way to the world of legalized online gambling slowly. It already has gaming, but its legislators are working with a wide variety of online providers to allow for the best gaming experience for players. Now the country’s Iforium Ltd, an online software provider, was approved by ARJEL, which is the number one regulatory agency in France. Iforium Ltd. Is an e-wallet solution that is going to make gamers happier with their accounts due to the company’s premiere software and money management systems. One of the biggest advantages a lot of companies have is finding a trustworthy e-wallet provider to affiliate with. This is a huge concern for gamers because they know that they are going to be sharing personal information with the e-wallet company. If they can’t trust it that is a number one reason they pass up the company and move onto another casino gambling entity. Gaming companies know how discerning gamers are these days and how much they demand. The world of gambling is competitive and companies know that without a secure way of providing a service, they risk losing thousands, if not hundreds-of-thousands of paying customers. That can cut back on their revenues by the millions or even run them out of the market. One of the easiest things to do is to find reliable e-wallet companies and then couple up with them for the sake of dual promotions.
The e-wallet tools of Iforium Ltd are proving to be flexible and reliable. The company’s director stated that the platform is able to cater to the needs and demands of the entire I-gaming industry. The software is easy to install and quick to set up. It is a product that can easily be implemented by any gamer who wants to wager online and needs an e-wallet to do so. The best thing about the protocols is that they can be customized to various markets and various companies’ needs. Iforium Ltd is premiere in specializing their software to different uses and gaming users. This is good news for France and for ARJEL. Both are set to benefit from this addition and most likely are going to have a great time with the move.

The state of Nevada has long been having problems rallying in the gambling market. It’s no secret that the state was hit particularly hard by the recession. The main problem was that it is built on one market—gambling and has been relying on income from gambling for sustaining itself for decades now. Nevada has no secondary market to speak of. State legislators made the same mistake that Detroit Michigan did. Detroit was a city built on automobile manufacturing. It had no true secondary market—believing that automobiles would always be in demand in mass numbers. Once the recession happened though, things changed. Part of the recession was a huge automobile industry crash, thus shutting down all but a few manufacturers. Detroit suffered because thousands were out of jobs, and there were no new jobs to replace those. This is what has harped on the Detroit economy for so long and the same thing happened with Las Vegas and Nevada as a whole. The state relied too heavily on just one market and when it took a hit, state legislators were hard pressed to find replacement markets that just didn’t exist—even at the nascent stages of development.
For a long time now Nevada officials have been waiting for good news. They want to hear that the market is turning around for them. Though that has been a long time in coming, there are some signs that it could be coming quickly. New numbers are showing that more gamers are returning to Las Vegas—slowly, but surely. Of course Nevada officials would like a turnaround to happen much quicker, but that doesn’t mean they won’t take the positive changes in small doses. It could mean that they will take that much shorter a time to turn life around for residents. It isn’t without a lot of anticipating that these changes are coming to the market. This past month there was an 11.5% growth in gambling revenue. It still doesn’t bring gambling back to what it was pre- recession, but it still is a movement in the right direction. The Strip received the biggest jump in revenue with 21% up from last year’s revenue stream.

One of the things that differentiates between internet users is what computer they uses. It’s always been PC versus Apple. Just look at the commercial wars between the two. You see the Apple guy talking about the virtues of the MAC as opposed to the problems with the PC. Then PC people responded with an equally compelling argument as to why their computers were more viable to the market. It is a marketing war in a lot of ways and each computer system has its own virtues. One drawback in gambling though is that Apple users had a hard time finding programs compatible with their systems. Now that is about to change.
SwitchPoker.com just announced that it has developed a system that makes it compatible with specifically the iPod Touch, the iPhone and the iPad. The company sees how big the market is and how lucrative that makes it. More and more gamers are moving to the world of mobile gaming and using Apple-based smart phones to do so. It’s no secret that Apple is taking over and there are a lot of loyal Apple users in the market. The tools are interchangeable and you can easily integrate them together. Now gamers can benefit with the online possibilities. The company is providing an easy to install and use interface where gamers can be up and running in minutes. If you go to the website you are going to see games already there—you can find poker Hold’em games right now that have no limit. There are a lot of new games coming to the market in the future too. SwitchPoker.com plans on bringing a wider variety of games to people and then possibly even move to non-poker related games for the gaming public. Overall this should be a great move for the company since the number of Apple users and the number of mobile gamers are both exponentially blowing up in the market. It is a great time for development and companies that are looking for changes should be able to move seamlessly into the market. There is enough of a customer base already that they will spread out and sustain a few markets.

No one would have ever guessed that Gibraltar would become a gambling companies dream. The country covers just over 2.5 square miles of space. It has two costs, one facing the Sandy Bay and the other facing the Catalan Bay. There are no real natural resources to speak of, and just a few fresh water possibilities. Still the country is good for one thing—gambling companies. For the past twenty years actually, Gibraltar has made its main economic advances with four different sectors, internet gambling and retail being two of them. Tourism speaks for itself—Gibraltar still offers an exotic locale for people to visit. It is small but has a unique climate and its cruise ship market is huge too. Visitors from Span visit Gibraltar daily for their own firsthand cruise ship adventures. Some of the most beautiful coasts are in the area and accessible to tourists via the small country.
The second market for them though is the market of gambling. This is proving to be one of the best decisions the country’s officials have made over the years. Online gambling companies and bookmakers have all flocked to the land for the purpose of favorable taxation laws. The country is known for its more-than reasonable taxation protocols and licensing fees. Working with corporate tax rules though is set to be phased out by the end of this year and replaced with an even lower tax law system for all companies entering the market. This is great news for gambling companies. They know that if they venture to the country they will continue to benefit from rules. Some countries are seeing the potential revenue and increasing their numbers. They see it as a way to take advantage of the surge in gaming. Gibraltar officials on the other hand are making it a point to work with gaming companies. They don’t want to lose the market and are proving they are more than willing to work with companies. If they can continue to garner more and more gambling companies though, they can continue to capitalize on the numbers. In a lot of ways—it is a numbers game. Gibraltar officials know this and are ready for the task of licensing gaming companies in the future.
