AGA Supports Online Gambling

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Things are changing quickly in the world of online gaming. A few decades ago, it first began with simplistic games and few capabilities. Then, technology took a huge jump. Once that happened, more and more companies started focusing on gaming and what to do with it. The UIGEA stepped in in 2006 and stopped online gaming in its tracks. Though it was written to give financial institutions the responsibility of policing gambling transactions, what it ended up doing was pushing gamblers to move to offshore companies.

Throughout the whole debate the American Gaming Association, or AGA, voiced its own opinion on the world of online gaming. It began in 1995 and opened as an entity that was set on bringing an understanding of gaming to the general public and politicians. It initially was not supporting of online gambling, but since they have changed their positions. Now, the AGA is changing its tune a bit when it comes to online gambling. The association is now open to legalizing internet gambling within the US. The interesting thing is that the AGA in former years was a strong opponent to the move and voiced its opinion loudly to various politicians and governments for support. Remember that the sides are drawn sharply against each other in the world of gambling—on one side is the group that sees the money potential and on the other side are those who see the ethical side. Each side has taken up a strong stance for or against the issue and its development in the world. Almost every jurisdiction is in the midst of some type of debate over the issue.

The AGA’s move to supporting the hobby is telling of where the market may go. The organization is a big one and with their support, it may be enough to push the issue over the hump and into legalization sooner. Now that the AGA is petitioning to politicians, it may be able to sway more and more to the side of legalizing and regulating online gambling. Although the issue will still take time, but this is a huge win for the pro-internet gambling side of the issue.

Betting Gets More Intricate

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

A few short years ago online gaming was different. It was still fun, but the capabilities were simplistic and remedial at best. Then things started changing. Once technology started its huge surge in growth, gaming took on a new life. It didn’t take long for things to move forward and for the bounds of what can be done to be stretched way beyond where gamers once thought they could go. Now, gamers can benefit hugely from games. Imagine playing your favorite multiplayer poker tournament from the comfort of your own home laptop or being able to place a bet on the win while sitting on your couch. The video games now allow you to watch the game and use sports betting at the same time. This is also moving to encompass things like football, basketball and soccer. The strides in technology are great news for companies that are waiting for the industry to open the doors to online gambling. It seems it may be a matter of time before gambling is legalized and regulated in the US.

Sitting at a table and playing video poker can be fun, but it hardly compares with playing interactive video games and sports games, while being able to bet on the outcomes. Not only does it allow gamers to participate in the games, but now they can make more money on the eventual outcome of each. It is an exciting time in the world of gaming and that means that many players are going to be able to do things that in former years were totally unheard of. If you enjoy gaming, think of where it is going to be in a few short years. It won’t take long because technology is moving quickly. Within the next few years, you should see even more capabilities everytime you log-into your favorite online casinos. Only time will show where technology is able to push the market and if you love gaming, you are going to benefit from those changes. Take a chance now and see how far the market has come. It won’t take long, but soon technology is going to lead online gambling to the next level of excellence.

Steve Gross Becomes a Member of ‘Brunson 10′ Team

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Top poker room DoylesRoom.com has just released the name it its newest member. Steve “Gboro780″ Gross has just joined the room and was hand-chosen by other players. Gross is 24 years old and is joining  fellow sponsored players Chris ‘Moorman1’ Moorman, Dani ‘ansky451’ Stern, Alex ‘AJKHoosier1’ Kamberis, Amit ‘amak316’ Makhija and Zachary Clark in representing the site around the world while also playing at DoylesRoom.com.  Gross rose to notoriety when he managed to earn $4.5 million online over the course of his career and he also won the PokerStars.com tournament more than a few times. With his track record of success, it is no wonder why DoylesRoom.com wanted to recruit Gross into the poker room. He has proven his knowledge and skill at poker well over his short, but illustrious career. This addition to Brunson’s team is a huge accomplishment to him and any other person asked into the invitation-only poker room.

Gross is originally from New Jersay and he first made waves when he entered the final table at the 2008 WSOP. It was a $1,000 buy-in table and he managed to finish in the ninth spot. He also managed reach the sixth position at the 2008 US Poker Championship in Atlantic City. Those are notable achievements, but he also solidified his name in history as a poker champ when he walked away with a win at the $5,000 buy-in event at PokerStars.com called Caribbean Adventure.  Overall he has a great track record, and at only 24 years old, he still has a long way to go in terms of forging himself an outstanding career in the world of poker play. Joining with DoylesRoom.com is a huge accomplishment in itself, but if anyone has earned it, it is Gross. He first began humbly but consistently. And his successes in the market continued to grow over time. His greatest successes fortunately happened relatively close together and that is what has truly built his name in the game of poker. Now that he has a great team of poker players to work with, he most likely will hit new heights of success in the industry. Not only can he hone his skill as a player, but he also can contribute to one of the biggeset and most prestigious poker rooms online today.

Grudzien Resigns from StoxPoker.com

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Nick ‘StoxTrader’ Grudzien is in a bit of trouble. It seems that earlier this year he was found to be using multiple accounts on FullTiltPoker.com and PokerStars.com. He also was accused of conspiring against the founders of StoxPoker.com at an online poker forum called TwoPlusTwo.com. Both are looked down upon in the market for a notable player and as a result Grudzien is now resigning from the online poker training website StoxPoker.com.

Throughout the controversy, Grudzien has consistently denied any wrongdoing. Though he did acknowledge his duplicate accounts at the two casino websites, he did state that he saw nothing wrong with the multiple gaming issue. Despite the problems, most likely Grudzien will rise out the wave of bad press and continue in on the market as a leader. The fact remains that he is an outstanding player who most likely will ride out the wave of problems he is having right now. Hopefully he will learn though to be more vigilant about his poker dealings.

This is one of the problems that a lot of opponents of online gambling talk about. They believe that legalizing online gambling will inevitably increase the amount of illegal or questionable activities in the market. They are citing a growth in crime, corruption and the temptation to act unethically as major reasons why online gambling should not be allowed. They believe that bringing it into various markets will create more and more problems that need to be regulated. And, without the proper safeguards in place to handle them, it may means sure disaster for many communities. For example, if gaming is legalized, it may create a growth in the number of online gambling addicts. Gamblers Anonymous locations are already stretched and they don’t have the financial resources needed to expand into more markets or to build more centers. This could create potential problems if a growing number of addicts enter the market and are unable to find the help they need to overcome the addictions. They may lose their financial footing, go into foreclosure, lose family and friends, etc. That will create even more problems for the market to shore up. Although Grudzien is allegedly contributing to the problem of unethical activity online, he most likely will learn his lesson and change his ways. If he is to stay in the market he loves, he will have to alter his ways of managing.

Bingo.com and Unibet Combine Forces

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

One of the best things about online gaming is that it is consistently expanding. What you found in the market a year ago, isn’t what you will find now. Technology is moving quickly and online gaming is following suit. Now, players who visit Bingo.com are going to have a huge advantage in gaming due to the casino’s adopting a new multi-language and multi-currency system that is operated by Unibet Group. The move is being made to make the online bingo website a more flexible option for gamers and knowing the reputation Unibet Group has, it most likely will bring an entirely new population of gamers in. Bingo.com is a Malta-licensed casino that has worked to create one of the largest all-encompassing bingo systems in operation today. The company has been around for a few years now and due to the popularity of bingo, it has quickly risen to be one of the best online portals for the game available today.

The change to the Bingo.com website will allow it to offer gambling in over 20 different languages and it will be able to take over 10 currency variations. This means that it is opening the door for a range of new markets to enjoy bingo play on the website. Due to the new affiliation with Unibet Group, the casino will also be able to cut back on its costs in the areas of technology, finance, customer service, gaming and technology. The biggest draw is that it will be able to offer bingo to a whole new gaming market and serve them in their own languages and financial currency options.

Both sides, Unibet Group and Bingo.com, realize how big a deal this combination is in the market. Not only will Bingo.com enjoy new customer bases, but Unibet Group also will benefit. The company now has the opportunity to grow itself by embedding itself in the new market of Bingo.com. It will take on a new life and be able to turn itself around with a totally new level of technological requirements. That can only mean the company will make itself stronger and be able to handle bigger companies in the future. Overall the move to combine is a win-win situation for both companies.

CakePoker is Making Big Changes

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

CakePoker.com just made an exciting announcement. It released its intention to change its minimum buy-in for its no-limit Hold’em games from 20 big blinds to 30. The change will happen on April 8th and it should help to minimize short-stack play. That means that players’ individual fun in gaming should increase, and they should be able to reach a higher level of payout if they are lucky. CakePoker.com will continue to offer tables with lower-stakes for the 20 big blind games.

Online poker is growing in the market. It began rather humbly over thirty years ago. The online game was played in a very basic way, but over the years, it has developed and evolved into one of the biggest online pastimes of millions throughout the world. Today, whatever games you find in a land-based casino, you will find in a virtual casino. All you have to do is go to a bigger poker room, like CakePoker.com, and see how many games there are to play. Whatever style you enjoy most will come up in the world of online gaming. CakePoker.com is one of those websites that has been around long enough to create outstanding games, and specials. It also combines some of the best bonuses in the online community to offer a complete gambling solution. Remember that just because a casino has one game in its title, does not mean that is all it has to offer. CakePoker.com specializes in poker, but you still can find a wide range of other games to enjoy. The bonuses that are available are also reasons to visit this casino and enjoy what is going on at various times of the year. CakePoker.com is a leader in creating specials and promotions that benefit everyone. Take a look at the casino and remember that the change happening on April 8th is just one more example of how it consistently changes its rules to better the gaming experience for its players. Lee Jones, card room manager, confirmed that the casino will continue to create specials. Visit the casino often and take advantage of the many bonuses to enjoy.

Tasty Bingo Brings Easter Fun

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

The great thing about online gaming is that you can always find a special. Regardless of what holiday it is, you can do a simple search online and find a wide range of promotions and bonuses built around it. TastyBingo.com is celebrating Easter with a special promotion this weekend promising to reward one lucky player with a whopping £1,500 in cash. The player who is able to get the first bingo on the “Golden Egg” patter, will win the top prize of 1,500 and runners-up will share the remaining £500.  Get ready for this promotion to start this weekend Saturday at 7am London time. With this special, the early bird really does have the best chance at winning so get in and get in early.

With TastyBingo.com, you can buy a maximum of 48 cards at a time, but you can also earn one-entry into the game for every 500 points you earn. It’s a creative loyalty program the website has and the more you play, the more you earn. When you are looking for an online casino, that is one of the things you want to look for. Make sure the casino has a rewards program that allows you to earn as you go. A lot of older casinos made the mistake of offering rewards for first-time players, but then fail to extend those rewards to loyal customers. This is where TastyBingo.com has an advantage—not only will you earn for joining, there is also a good bonus for playing consistently. That’s what you want in a good online casino—to make a lot of extras over the lifetime of your gaming with it.

Another thing to remember about TastyBingo.com is that though it has “bingo” in its name, it still has a range of other games to enjoy. Check out the casino and see for yourself how many other games catch your eye. Or, if you are a big fan of bingo, then just stick with the wide range of games it offers. Bingo is one of the most popular games at land-based locations and in online casinos. TastyBingo.com is one of the best providers of the game.
