The 1-3-2-6 Betting System Explained

In the world of gambling there are various methods offered that promise to help you win. If you do a Google search for “strategies in gambling” you’ll surely have a wide range of returned websites that offer just the tips you need for a sure-fire win. Don’t believe them. Though there are a lot of scams out there, there are some strategies that do hold valid due to their being based on math. The 1-3-2-6 betting system is one of them.

The 1-3-2-6 betting system is a blackjack betting system that is based on the Paroli system. It states that you can win four times in a row when playing. It is a positive progression so you increase your bets each time you win a game. For example, say you are betting $5 and have even money odds of 1:1. If you opt to use the 1-3-2-6 betting strategy, the first bet you place will be one multiplier, the second will be a three multiplier, the third bet will be a double multiplier and the final will be a six multiplier. That means your first bet will be $5. The second bet will be $15. The third bet will be $20 and the final bet will be $60.

This is when the betting cycle is complete, so you loop back and start all over again. But if you lose a bet at any point before the betting cycle is completed, you start back over with the original $5 bet. With this system you are risking a small amount to win a much larger amount, if you complete the betting cycle. You can lose 6 times at the worst level, the second bet, and still completely cover yourself by winning all 4 bets of the cycle one time. If you want to know whether or not to use this system, consider this– this system would be fun for a recreational player but no serious blackjack player should use this betting strategy to try to turn large profits. This system is perfect for the recreational player but serious blackjack players would not be able to turn large profits.  You are required to win 4 hands in a row to completely cycle the system and turn your profit. Remember that strategies, in general, are helpful, but rarely sure-things. Understand your goals as a gambler and then act wisely. If you modify your wagers, test this strategy out and see if it works for you. You just may get lucky and walk away with a good payout.
